Great player. But I'd say it's unlikely we'd be attractive to him, he seems to enjoy the hipster lifestyle. If we are in the market for a new 5/8 come 2020, the only one of note coming off contract is Cam Munster.

Is he going to the cows?
I've got nothing against Widdop whatsoever. But if he wants to go home; and therefore by default does not want to be with us when he is on $880K and is our captain...let him go. Simple as that. He has given reasonable service to us; seems like a decent bloke. No hard feelings. Let's all be mature about it. Grant him his wish and move on. You never know perhaps a young Sailor or Field might step up and kill it. I am not saying they will; but who knows? What we do know however is that Kurt Mann lacks the passing game to play at #6.
Again I am just saying, but Norman and Moses are available. Sure they have had attitude problems but they can both play.
Just share them and I won't have to disregard, I'll forget I ever read it.Sorry mate disregard what I said .It must be the drugs lol
I don’t think Hunt and Munster are real tight given their history...Do you think he will leave rhe cowboys.
I dont

Looks like SJ to the scumnulla..I wonder if this decision is in response to a suggestion of Widdop to play fullback? Millward had better sign Johnson on Widdop money ASAP before the other clubs grab him. If NZ want a trade give them Field or Mann or Aitken or Lafai, hang on give them all of these players and buy some quality: R Jennings, and a top grade prop. We would still have money left over to front end players so that Millward's overs aren't discovered.
The obsession with the coach in here is pathetic. McGregor and Widdop are tight. McGregor loves Widdop and is the reason why he is captain. Widdop isn't leaving because of the coach.
So Millward should be talking to Johson's manager and uping the 4 year deal.Reported today on Radio - Sharks tabled 4 year deal..
900k plus the 500k-600k we had set aside for Hayne and plus some more from Macdonald and Nightingale's salary.Where there’s smoke there’s fire! I think there is strong basis to this story.. real options because we do now have $900k to play with;
Moses
Norman
Maloney (will be released if he gets 2 year contract elsewhere)
Johnson
Mann IS NOT THE SOLUTION!
I actually don’t like Johnson / hunt combo.. something doesn’t sit right. I do like hunt /.norman as they played together at broncos .. or even Jack Bird?So Millward should be talking to Johson's manager and uping the 4 year deal.
I would rather have Widdop for the year, do a proper search for a replacement rather than just make a snap decision to sign a player for 4 years for a million just to beat Sharks with a matter of hours to get it all doneSo Millward should be talking to Johson's manager and uping the 4 year deal.
Both Young and Hornby have been told they won't be considered for the Dragons top job and need to go to the ESL to gain experience. If the Club got rid of Mary like they should have long ago, there would be no more obsession or negatives except of course if the new coach is Dean Young.
Maybe it is the opposite to what everyone is saying. Maybe Widdop has been told Mary is on his way and the new 'interim coach' will be Dean Young.
Old boy promise delivered.
Let's wait to hear the reason, maybe it is an ill parent or relative. With you all the way Crush
I am cracking the champagne if it’s true and he goes
Nothing personal against Widdop
But geeze, biggest disappointment of a supposed big signing ever
Compare him to Cronk, just played and won a GF with massive injury
While Widdop sooks about the mother country
Perfect timing that allows him to sign with the Roosters once Cronk hangs up the boots at the end of 2019.Johnson's sharks deal reportedly only 1 year
