I only caught the last 20 minutes. I cannot believe what I just watched.

I don't think it's fair bagging Uate for that try. Freak occurrence.

Gidley though...always been a mental midget unfortunately.

Ok, haven't watched because my mental health is more important:sarcasm:

What did Gidley do?
I can't even explain it. It's too horrible... but I'll try.

He missed a gimme penalty goal from in front, 30 out... failed to make it go dead and then Manly went the l;ength of the field in their set and scored. From there, it was all Manly. We had Manly absolutely shot before he missed that goal. Heads were down and 12 points up would have given us the game I would think. He basically made the worst play I've seen in years and gifted them back into the match. We then went into panic mode and lost our shit, as we do.

Bennett and Kurt will front the media and mouth platitudes about effort and sticking together.

Frankly whilst ever we keep doing the same sh*t, we deserve everything we get and then some.

Most other clubs would have had a word in Gids ear long ago, but not us......................
Not true, Canberra are going through a similar thing with Campese at the moment. We really need to bite the bullet and just drop him, though. It's beyond embarrassing now. That was simply heartbreaking.

Uate needs to learn how to f**king catch, Gidley needs to f**k off ASAP. Also why was Tapine sitting on the bench the entire 2nd half almost

Absolutely devastated.

Sure we're not playing great at the moment (and Manly played worse) but the boys really wanted that. Honestly that is just cruel.

Mullen should have popped the FG but I'm pretty sure it wasn't even the fifth because it was a seven tackle set. Not sure what happened there but I do know there was no one even close to Boyd there. Devastated.

Most shattering loss in a long time. We absolutely dominated that game on all fronts but the same players just keep letting us down. Uate's incompetence both positionally and under the high ball are just too much of a liability, Gidley is just killing us with his nothingness and enough has already been said about Boyd.

Having these 3 players in our team is an advantage to the opposition, especially Uate, you can guarantee 2 or 3 tries let in by his stupidity alone.

This loss has killed any hope for me and I can only imagine how the players who put in huge efforts feel. We must be sure things for the spoon now, I can't see the boys getting up for another big game again this year. A few hidings coming our way me thinks.

Forget the big 3, we've got the DUD 3.

It was probably more merciful for you that way. We played bloody great footy up until about that point. We played our best football when Clydsdale was at hooker and Gids was either playing in the forwards or some made up position to get him away from everything.

I believe it was 3rd tackle

For all the bagging on Uate - we're not even in that match if he doesn't score his tries... and there's not a single guy in our squad other than him that scores that first one.

Also yeah, Darius was great up until he snapped that field goal prematurely. Mullo didn't have a crack because we had tackles up our sleeve and figured he'd get a better shot from deeper, I would think.

Talk about the footy gods being against us.

Yes we can talk about Gids but when the game was there for the taking our halves didn't step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck when it was needed.

DCE showed how to do it and the top teams have it.

Mullen had a good game otherwise but Roberts was again no where to be seen.

That drop goal from DCE was sublime. The only thing stopping Mullen from doing the same is confidence. He needs to back himself at the clutch moment and just do it. Did everything he could for 79 minutes of the match to get picked for Origin, then probably gets a line put through him for a split second moment with the ball in his hand.

Darius shouldn't have taken the shot, though. We had time and tackles to get in a better position for Mullo or tyrone to have a real crack at it.

What have we done to deserve this? I am just crushed and empty by that. I can't do this anymore.

Mullen for the second time f#cked up when he needed to ice it. He did it against Brisbane last year and failed to snap it tonight when he was the man to do it.

Kidley is kidding and no more needs to be said about that. But im not sure Clydesdale is ready for it full time.

And at the risk of being (more) unpopular, I actually thought Houston was good tonight. Plenty of tackles, no penalties and ran straight and hard through the middle..

I'll give him the first one but any decent winger should be able to do that these days. The second was a gift and then he lets 2 in.

That puts him at -1

He needs to score two per week to make up for the two he gives away. He's a dead set liability most of the time. Poor defender and poor under the high ball. He's a target and the halfback sized the moment by attacking our weak point the last 20 mins. Came up trumps again.

Yes Houston went well. He is better suited in the middle where he played tonight but is awful on the edges
