Uates contract vs. performance.
Uate had a pretty decent season last year. Not his best but I think all players are entitled to a dip in form, he still scored 15 tries which is great for a winger. Did you want them to cut him mid-season this year? What does that achieve?
Boyds shitty attitude and effort.
I hate Boyd but I think bringing him here was the tough decision. He kicked the club favourite out of his spot.
Again, did you want the club to kick him out while he was actually playing pretty well in the finals run last year?
Agreed.
The teams utter lack of consistency for 3 years, at what point do we start holding players accountable and ringing the changes.
We made the major semi-final last year, did you want us to wring the changes then? This season your argument is valid but they haven't had a chance to do it yet have they?
The season before last we brought in a few changes including Mason, Scott and Leilua just off the top of my head, and this after Bennett cleaned us out the year before.
Bennett admitting that whatever he is doing, isn't working and adapting.
I don't see how that is a tough club decision to be made. He has acknowledged it and you can only assume from that trying to rectify it. Do you think we'd be better off sacking Bennett?
I don't really have a problem with him as CEO besides the tie to his brother. He speaks alright and I'm sure leaves most of the other stuff to the brains of the business. Bennett would be in charge of our recruitment and rightly so. At least he is not a compete dope running his mouth like half the other CEO's out there seem to be.
Recruitment and retention particularly refreshing the pack.
They tried to freshen up the pack two years ago. We signed Packer over the off-season and have been chasing props hard from all reports. I don't think you know what is going on behind closed doors so I don't think it's fair for you to say they aren't going all out this year.
Members council not calling out the circus that is HSG and Tinkler.
Giving HSG so much leeway in the current negotiations.
I can only assume that last season you were pretty happy with what Tinkler brought us. This year has been a dogfight of course, and the whole thing is an issue now, and I suspect something will be sorted out soon.
I still think a strong Tinkler is the best way forward for this club but it doesn't look likely anymore, and people are starting to figure that out.
I think the last few years have been a whirlwind of trying hard to shake things up for the better. Just because it hasn't worked out doesn't mean they haven't gone for it.
