Will 2014 be any better?

I mention Sheens to point out the hypocrisy of your position. You were a Sheens apologist throughout the lean years but you're not willing to extend the same leniency or understanding to Potter. You're effectively demanding that Potter produces immediate results, a standard which you never held Sheens to.

And who cares if half the JV wants to turf Potter? Since when has the board acted in the best interests of the club? Most of its energies are invested into debating the size and positioning of the Magpie logo on the jersey. Anyway, in light of our dire financial position it's ridiculous to suggest sacking and paying out another coach. Give him time.

Give him time so he can do more damage to the club? No thanks. Have a look at our opponents today under Price.

You may give thanks to Sheens for his foresight in ensuring the young players are still at WTs. Yes they are all part of the system he set up.

More damage? What damage has Potter done besides bust up the boys club?
Come on R2, just come clean and admit you're Tim himself.

Nobody but Tim Sheens can be this deluded.

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to know what's going through Benji's mind right now. I guess we'll always wonder if he could have been the Benji of old with a decent halfback beside him

I don't think so.I just think he has lost that pace and zip that he used to have. I think today was a one off. He can do that in the halves.

I think the issue is that he has been paid to play as a key player but at the moment he isn't that. At the moment his impact is like Simona's. I think Simona is unbelievable but he isn't the player that you throw millions at. To be fair to Simona I think Simona has more in him than Benji over the course of a season.

I was worried after the Dragons scored two quick tries in succession that they would come back into the match, but the jarring tackle from Brooks that made Bronson Harrison cough up the ball, that changed the momentum of the match and stopped a comeback from the Dragons. He was everywhere and looked like he had time and space with the ball in hand. 2014 is really looking up.

I was thinking the same , im sure if he was willing let go of any grudges against Potter and enjoy being part of this exiting group of kids he could certainly recapture some form of old. Id say he may have some regrets on leaving.

Oh the boys club! I love that one.

Half the Board want him gone and you believe anyone not sold on Potter is deluded! Please get back in your box.

Didn't answer my question. What damage has Potter done to the club?
f**k the board. The same dysfunctional board would bite off it's nose to spite it's face.

Go back to reading the Tele Tim.

Here we go again. Why do you give any credence to what the board thinks? We have the most dysfunctional mypoic board in the league. Signing Tim Sheens to a lucrative contract after years of mediocrity was one of their masterstrokes. How is that going for us? I reckon half the board wanted to resign Ryan Ohara to a new 500k 3yr deal before sanity prevailed. Honestly, using the board's opinion to validate your vendetta against Potter is like citing Phil Rothfield in a political debate.

Timmy, there are better ways to spend your time than deathriding Potter. Remember what happened at North Queensland when you were forced to take stress leave? Keep this up you mind end up in hospital again.

I'll just state that I don't think Benji has any grudges against Potter. I think that this is a whole bunch of BS looking in that means nothing.

I still think Benji needs to go. As a bit player on reasonable money he would be great but for some reason he doesn't want to play for us like that whereas in Union that is all he will get,

Anywhere but halfback and a real halfback in the team.

This.

If we had a dominant half for the last few years that controlled a game and stopped benjj from organising or trying to think, and a coach that kept his ego in check then benji would still be one of the best players in the game. He is a natural runner and always will be. His manager and sheens have ruined his career or legacy as a great of rugby league.

That player was Prince. After a season of Sheens trying to manufacture a halfback out of Johnny Cronk those shoes could have been filled by Matty Head, but Supercoach only let him play ten matches. Then in 2009 it could have Timmy Moltzen if Supercoach had the common sense to play the Junior Kangeroos halfback there rather than at fullback where he sucked for three years.

2010 and 2011 with Robert Lui.
We were close both years and Lui was a big part of it.

Barring injuries, the only long term WT players who should be in the team are Galloway, Farah, Richards and Fulton.

I'd assume Lawrence will have to play due to his contract.

Aside from that the young un's are looking great. Even Brown looked good with some great cover defense and some mongrel.
