Gee Sims' error wasn't forgotten
Actually for the most part it was. Hardly anyone talks about it anymore, and this thread has probably given it more air time than any other.
Gee Sims' error wasn't forgotten
It wasn't the Cowboys all the way up until the Preliminary Final, where the favorite Roosters were handily beaten by.....Us.
I can't work that out being a Broncos supporter who doesn't back down on a forum predominately populated by NSW supporters  That didn't take long.
Lol are you for real ?Actually for the most part it was. Hardly anyone talks about it anymore, and this thread has probably given it more air time than any other.
Sims copped a good hit that knocked the ball free. It happens. Donkeys fans just needed a scapegoat to deal with the disappointment, and he was convenient.
Exactly this.
Even now, despite kicking the ball out for 30mins trying to protect 4 points, dropping a kickoff, giving away a crucial penalty and having the ball stripped (all within 4 minutes of each other) all we hear is bullshit like "its not Hunts fault, if you want to blame someone blame Oates for coming off his wing or Blair for missing the tackle on JT, like they're somehow to blame more than Hunt.
Who were the bookies favourite for 2015 ?
it wasn't the Cowboys and yet look what happened
BTW the 'bookies' are undecided and tied with, you guessed it, the Cowboys!
They really don't.
No we are just highlighting the stupidity of some .
I'm a Cowboys supporter you spastic .
& it's not just NSW supporters that think you're an arrogant wanker .
Your predictions & arrogant bullshit was directed at cows fans in the GF thread .
.
Lol are you for real ?
His name was dirt amongst Bronco fans for a few yrs after that game .
As for not talking about it anymore ...it was 7 yrs ago so of course it's not news nowadays .
If that doesn't happen in the next couple of seasons then you bet fans will turn on Hunt for losing the 2015 GF.
That's about it .
Baa baa Benny, can you catch a ball ?
No Sir No sir,not at all
Just leave it SLR. The off season doesn't take long to bring out the boring trolls  This very threads existence is thanks to no other reason other than Broncos hate.
No, because most Broncos fans blame the signing of Ashton Sims on the loss of Petero Civoniceiva. Hunt on the other hand, is seen as something of a saviour. For years, the Broncos were victim of some extremely insipid play from Peter Wallace and were dying for a natural half. Up steps Ben Hunt, who after years of slumming it as a bench hooker, is given the shot and makes the most of it. It's a great Rugby League story and it's difficult not to be forgiving of him.
As for Sims, the problem is that you have to be very patient with him. He reminds me a lot of Costigan to an extent. There are games where he's going to drop two or three balls and give away a penalty when it's unwarranted. Then there are bigger occasions, where he'll lay on a big hit at a crucial juncture and do his best to lift his team mates.
While we're pointing fingers, I find the implication that Sims only became a good player when he stepped on the hallowed turf of 1300SMILES. He actually had a rich vain of form in 2009 that coincided with the Broncos run. Unfortunately for him, it was lost behind the form of Dave Taylor, Karmichael Hunt and Jharal Yow Yeh.
Unfortunately for him, he never had that moment of redemption. Whenever players like Hodges, Lockyer, Hayne to an extent had shockers on the big stage, they usually found a way to redeem themselves. Sims never got that taste in the rep arena or achieved premiership glory to really win the Rugby League public over.
Melbourne had the overlap and were rolling through the middle with ease. To blame Locky is plain wrong.
Spot on .
Ashton through his career had problems .
Trying to be a tough guy .
Giving away penalties .
Letting his anger get the better of him .
...... HaHAHA!
I love how the Cowboys fans carry on about IBM.
Yet bind together and drone on at worse levels.
