Kennedy's 2 tries showed elements of his very strong attacking game. Backing up through the middle and running a great line.

Can't ignore the defence though as tries saved are at least as important as tries scored. Missing 7 tackles from fullback whilst making 4 is really not going to win plaudits.

sharks fans aye.. always looking for a public lashing

if this was his first game where his defence was poor, you could probably excuse him. Unfortunately it’s been a problem with him since he entered first grade and it doesn’t seem to have gotten any better which is concerning. I’m not calling for him to be dropped because I think he suits our attack the best at the moment out of our options. However, all we hear is that fitzy is big about defence. I can’t see him being too impressed with some of his efforts.

Iv never been a fan and more than happy to move him on for Miller / Dykes combo for 2023 but we can’t drop him now

Oh and by the way. Kennedy looked like Michael Speechley in comparison to Dykes in yesterdays Jets game.

would you not think fitz is then aware of this? like frenzy said he shouldnt be relied on to save trys if the frontline do their job, especially when his strengths are in attack.

in no team ever should you have a mindset to play a fb that will guarantee a 1 on 1 tackle compared to a player that links with a backline and provide what he does

I haven't been a match going fan for a few years now but for those that are, is he a big talker when behind the defensive line? 2016 when Barba had his phenomenal season it was noticeable how much talking and organising he did from fullback.

oh dear, do you really think people don’t realise those that missed the tackles in the front line first? Read the thread title, it’s about Kennedy. At times the front line is going to make mistakes and misread a play or miss a tackle. It would be nice to think there was at least a chance of Kennedy cleaning up at the back and making a tackle.

also in response to your second paragraph, I can only assume you’re replying to me as you quoted me, I’ve already stated I want him to remain fullback because his is currently our best option in attack.

Is his positioning when defending the line a topic to address whilst we're all here or shall we finish the turnstyle debate first?

thats not why he's first choice fb. its because of everything else he brings to the team that far outweighs last line defence

we averaged under 3 trys a game against us in round robin, if you wana go pay 900k a year for a complete fb like tedesco, enjoy momirvoski and oliver gildert as your centres

Tedesco has missed 21 tackles and made 22 errors this year. WK is 31 missed tackles and only 12 errors. Teddy hasn't had a busted shoulder either. Let's witch hunt Teddy

Probably but my biggest beef was that he is a CAT. Was proven to be a fact last night.
The field goal was something else, but the dive was what it was a dive, and an absolute shocker. Reminded me of Greg Louganis would have been proud of.

Teddy puts himself into position to pick kicks up so more touches of the ball would statistically mean more errorzzzz
