Miller had a strong debut. He has a good skill set and is clearly a step above NSW Cup.

Miller also got lucky a couple of times with letting bombs bounce. His try was far more good luck than good management. If the ball bounced to a Titan who scores he would have been hammered.

We need to see more of Miller to form a view as to what he can do at NRL level.

Kennedy is a good player who had a poor game on the back of a suspension. He has work to do on his game but is definitely the best fullback option right now.

Word.

The team has spent the whole offseason, and the first half of the season proper, working on an attacking structure that utilizes WK out the back.

Miller, for all is positive attributes, is a completely different style player. Changing the two would have massive ramifications for attacking cohesion.

It's insanity to even consider it, unless through absolute necessity.

So Miller is the shiny new toy and some of you think Kennedy should go and Miller be his replacement, on one game?? I agree he looks like he's playing injured, but why would you want to get rid of him?

not sure anyone suggested getting rid of Kennedy, more so if he is injured to get a proper rest and give Miller a crack.. Injured or not, there are still some parts to Kennedy’s game that haven’t really improved since he came in to first grade, e.g defence, support play.

Harsh markers some of you lot. For what it’s worth, other than the absolute guns in Tedesco, Turbo and Papz, I’d not swap Kennedy for any other fullback in the game.

He got absolutely belted on Saturday night. There was one point in the first half when walking to the bar and I saw a hit side on. The sound and reaction of the crowd said it all - brutality at its most rooster-ish. Shame we couldn’t replicate the same on that whinging bitch Tedesco.
Be keen to see how he goes the rest of the season - completely busted atm

I certainly don’t want to get rid of him. After he carved everyone up for the first 5 weeks teams have bashed him, then the suspension and then he has played timid.
He looks injured. If he isn’t right, then ply the not injured guy, because I’d prefer to see a fully fit will in august and September

The other thing we need to consider is, how is the team going to play when it matters?

Do we continue with the out the back flash or have teams worked that out?
Do we transition to a team that earns the right to play footy after going through the middle in numbers with support

I'd like to see us go back to the earlier stages and I am sure we will when we get BHU, Dale, Jack etc. Back from injury. Bash it straight up the middle at a thousand miles an hour getting the defence to compress to counter the fast forward movement and then let it sing out the back where the space has opened right up.

No surprise at all that even Talakai is getting man handled in numbers at times without the forwards rolling through the middle so well.

BHU was on track for a cracker of a season. Poor bugger.

I like Will... but would put these guys above him

Dylan Edwards
Latrell Mitchell
Ponga
Gutherson
Tedesco
Turbo
Papz

Kennedy is probably the next tier down along with maybe Drinkwater, Te Maire Martin and Niholl-Klokstad.

He is slightly above the likes of Jayden Campbell, Reece Walsh and Cody Ramsey.

He is miles above Dufty.

You know sometimes I have to keep telling myself it is only a game.

Hey we will come good and so will Will.

And another thing as stupid as it sounds, I reckon imbecile Dufty will kill it in PomLand. I've watched a few more games from the superleague and they don't give a shit about stupid reads and shit house defence.

Seriously I bet he goes well.

I haven’t posted a reaction to the game until now…

I watched the whole game - with about 10 Qld’ers, so it was terrible. That’s the last time I do that - win, lose, or draw / it’s just not worth it…!

My one-eyed ‘Shark glasses’ tell me that the people officiating the game did us no favours…

However, I felt that the game turned on it’s head when we let Dearden waltz over from a standing start. The replay looked like an absolute comedy of errors, but what stood out was Will Kennedy’s absolute lack of effort, to the point that one of the commentators said, “That’s just not first-grade standard.”

Is it over-reacting to suggest that he be dropped for Miller this week, and we continue prepping Dykes for the permanent fullback job?

Honestly, I’d be happy for him to go up to the Dolphins or Super League, after last night!

Kennedy has been fantastic this season, and he is getting ripped apart for a so-so performance in his first game back after a pretty nasty ankle injury.

Fairly. He was poor in D. Let’s not sugar coat anything. Fitz wouldn’t.
