Will Kyle Flanagan be a good #6 or #9 for the Dragons?

@bad boy bubby tells me The Chad was mean to Kyle and Flanno snr remembers.

I take that on board.

But if you hear Flanno talk on commentary, he always mentions The Chad as the prermiership winning halfback.

Kyle is mud, was a great junior, some are just not up to it., sorry lad,.

If that happens your are in for pain.

The Chad is at least avarage, can run a team around the park, needs much better players around him, but plays finals.

Anyways maybe cranky Hunt and Flanno Jnr.

Sucks to be a saint now.

I will see myself out.

You give an interesting perspective.

Regarding your comment about being a saint, I'm actually feeling better about football than when hook was coaching. Sure, we didn't have the soap opera playing out in the media, but we had an uninspiring coach with not one imaginative bone in his body who demanded a boring, safety-first brand of football. Simultaneously, he was putting roadblocks in front of the juniors and hiring ex-Queenslander has-beens. The final straw was dropping Liddle to the bench and playing Mbye for the entire game. Hunt endorsed hook, and even said he would need to "reconsider his future" if hook was sacked. Well Benny, that writing had been on the wall for months-there was no surprise when hook was sacked. Carr in four weeks has managed to get the team playing a better brand of football, which has managed two wins, a good performance against the riff, and a shocker against the phins.

Flanagan will be our coach next year, and you guys know what he managed when he was your coach. Flanagan is also a St George junior. So while it's a bit hard to follow at the moment, especially when "journos" like hoops-the-wit joyfully puts in the boot every day, I believe we have more to look forward to than when hook was coaching.

Kyle doesn’t have the vision or creativity to be a good half. He constantly takes the wrong options and it is why both the Roosters and now the Bulldogs wanted him gone. Both clubs would acknowledge their mistake. Barrett recruited him for the Dogs.

This may not be popular, but I think he will be very handy as a 14. He can cover many positions, and I thin he can play Hooker and lock.

At a pinch, he can play in the halves, he can also play at centre or fullback.

Hi Defence is quite good and I've seen him setup breaks. ALso, he has some energy which we sometimes don't have in our current team.

I don't see him as a starting halve though.

Flanagan wasn't the head coach before...
True. However, Flanno snr has been given a massive job and is under immense pressure. Not only has he inherited a shitstorm, but there is a cloud hanging over him regarding his actual ability-can he coach, or was it the peptides and
creative accounting that got him to turn around the sharks fortunes? In that situation, would you choose to bring your son, knowing how it would look and knowing how his career developed and the problems he's faced at two clubs since he was a gun junior at the sharks? Would you take that risk knowing that Kyle could always get a start at a SL club?

If Flanno decides that Kyle could be useful, then by all means, sign him up. Afterall, he is employed to make these decisions, but it's his neck on the chopping block if he chooses Kyle for reasons other than football.

As long as Kyle does not change the emphasis on Bud being the future No.7 for the Dragons I don't care.

Kyle is better off in Super League to get his confidence back as he was picked up by the Chooks for a reason so they did see something in him. The Dogs just took away any belief he has in himself. If he goes well in ESL he will be picked up by an NRL club quick smart just like Lachlan Lam is now in hot demand by NRL clubs.

Kyle gives us backups for 6/7/9/14, i dont mind if its not too much.. again honestly whatever flanno wants to do.. feel better knowing someone with half a brain is atleast making decisions.

But noting that we might need to make short-term decisions to get us through to a point that we can start to fine-tune & recruit quality to our squad.. we wont be able to do it in 1 step.
