Will Pucovski - How far will he go?

QLD have a decent attack and I would have liked to see Pucovski get a run against them today.

Instead we got Marcus Harris. 0 off 5 balls.

Apparently being managed/rested

Might see him next Shield match v the mighty blues attack led by Jack Edwards

One start and a fail.

I had hoped he would hit the ground running and walk straight into the test team after Davey retires. Ideal summer to do it with the quality of the opposition. At this stage I'd say it's very unlikely and he will have to get through a full season of domestic cricket first.

Let's not be hasty

He has got get through a full net session without playing short balls with his head before he can get through a domestic season.

The kid is done IMO. Can't play international cricket if your approach to the average bouncer is to head butt it.

the only thing worse for Australian cricket than Will getting out for 26 is Marcus Harris getting a ton

I might do the Baggy Green garbage 11 in my era of watching Cricket which is basically 1999 WC onwards. In the leadup to the Pakistan Series next month.

Basically a combination of the worst side imaginable of players to don the Baggy Green that probably didnt deserve it in past 25 years.

Marcus harris is a lock for that side as the opener atm.

Well seeing as some of you have already started I may as well unleash it

To be disqualified from this list you have to has scored a test 100 or taken a 5 wicket haul in tests.

Aaron Finch and George Bailey survive purely on the basis they were decent captains in white ball cricket and did perform at international cricket unlike these 11.

Openers was pretty easy 2 duds. One is statistically one of the worse we have seen given an extended run and the other is not far behind and also disgraced the nation with sandpaper even if it wasn't all his fault.

Rob Quiney the greatest 9 in test cricket at number 3.

Alex Doolan and Nic Maddinson in the middle order will stiffen it up a bit

Hilton Cartwright can play the all-rounder role with his gentle medium pace.

Graham Manou is a bit unlucky purely because we have had some good keepers in the past 25 years. But probably didn't deserve a baggy green if we're being honest

That leaves us with the bowlers. 3 one test wonders in Joe Mennie, Peter George and Bryce McGain whose soul is still spread out all across Newlands in Cape Town.

Jon Holland was garbage purely because he had the best chance as any playing his 4 tests on spinning decks and did SFA.

Chadd Sayers can carry the drinks.

Mickey Arthur can coach them as well.

1 - Marcus Harris
2 - Cam Bancroft
3 - Rob Quiney
4 - Alex Doolan
5 - Nic Maddinson
6 - Hilton Cartwright
7 - Graham Manou (K)
8 - Joe Mennie
9 - Jon Holland
10 - Peter George
11 - Bryce McGain

12th Man - Chadd Sayers

Coach - Mickey Arthur

Wadey with the gloves costs more runs than he can make with the bat
If he gives up the gloves he doesn't make the squad

Regarding Jon Holland's position in that XI, Xavier Doherty says hello!

Holland got in because he had a chance on 4 spinning decks in the sub-continent and still averaged 63 with the ball.

Doherty as shit as he was basically had to bowl on 2 roads at the start of the 2010 ashes series at home.

He makes the 2nd XI of the Baggy Green Garbage XI post 2000.

The amount of shit we have handed out Baggy Greens too since 2007 when Warne & McGrath retired is extraordinary.
could probably do an all spin XI post Warne retirement

Is Cam White excluded because his only test series was in India? He is another in the long line of players who Victorians wanted picked in a test team because Victoria.
