We'll all chip in to buy Jamil a puppy then get a fluff article in the tele and hey presto he is now 2 miracles away from beautification.
Not a great signing, Jamil is a bad egg. I don't think it is appropriate to say what he gets up to, publicly in this forum, but you can PM me to find out.
I wonder how much Mannah is on? And what he thinks of Hoppa getting $850K.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/n...manly-sea-eagles/story-e6frfgbo-1226158575370Sources claim the Hopoate family will shift across town for a combined figure of about $800,000 a season.
http://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au...-move-dismays-hasler/2313418.aspx?storypage=0Far from keeping Hopoate behind closed doors the Church of Latter-day Saints is capitalising on the publicity opportunities presented by his two years' service to their cause. He will speak at a public meeting at his local chapel on Sunday, according to the church.
''He will be talking about his decision to serve a mission and outlining the things he will be doing while he is away from rugby league,'' a church spokesman said.
I wonder if there is a chance that it may in fact be earlier than 2014. Even the Mormon church like money. 10% of a $500k a year contract is good coin and beats door to door sales.
what if he decided not to go but instead have another 2yrs at Manly before heading to parra in 2014? ..... hmmm, lets just let him go riding his bike and knocking on doors in sunny brisy

be funny if he decided to chuck his mission in after a while and play for us for the next two years
We surely can't afford William and be under the cap for next year onwards? Unless there is an even bigger story that has been kept a secret :sarcasm:
I have to applaud our club for keeping it secret, especially when it looks like the deal was done a while ago (speculative).
It is interesting that not one Eels official or the club themselves have been available for comment or released an official statement on the matter.
John Hoppa is exactly what we need at this club if we are looking to change the culture.
He is very good with the junior players and very well respected. This couldn't have worked out any better.
As a avid eagles fans, well parra get one up on us. Good on the kid super money, the one thing i have to say to parra fans with the we got one up one you is well no you did not, we got jamie lyon who has had a massive influence on 3 grand final appearances and 8 back to back finals campaigns then turned trex into a dud footballer who hindmarsh did not rate and Jamie Buhrer so no we still have the ledger.
Good luck with his old man on coaching staff that is all i can say, see ya later hopoate one thing don't come back when things turn to shit at parra like they always do.
While the kid is a super talent we still easily won games with out him when wolfman and robbo where on wings, our club will win more titles as long as dce, foran, lyon, watmough and stewart boys. Our wing will still be strong david williams back ben farrar back from france, oldfield and whare as back up.
Young lussick is a rep player of future so more grand finals for manly more false hopes for parra.

Not really. The club has kept fans in the dark in regards to just about everything this year.
