Yeah Jarryd and Will seemed really close during Origin and City camp. Maybe that got us over the line?

are you shocked Ray?? :D

Hahaha

He is worth every cent

The kid is a class act and plays well above his age.

He can cover from 1 to even 6.

Couldn't of been a better signing. (providing its all done, sign, sealed and delivered to the NRL).

In 2014, we will have with no doubt one of the best backlines in the comp.

WOW

and could possibly see Hopoate's father, John, offered a job on Parramatta's coaching staff.

I wonder what role his Dad could play at the club .... :-k

I was thinking how he would go as a 6

I would think he can play where ever he wants, centre more likely as Willie Tonga will be 31 in 2014

On T-Rex:

HIS value may just have increased by $50,000 a year.
Manly's Tony "T-Rex" Williams yesterday became Australia's latest Kangaroo - and selection may mean he is forced out of Brookvale.

With Manly already under salary cap pressure, Williams' asking price jumped significantly at 11.45am yesterday when he was named in Australia's 24-man touring squad.

Tony Williams is officially off-contract - and could now command a deal worth about $250,000 a year.

There were suggestions last night that Cronulla was poised to make Williams an offer.

Once an inconsistent first grader, Williams has become a dynamo and helped inspire Manly to Sunday's grand-final win over the Warriors.

Manly coach Des Hasler now faces the challenge of squeezing Williams in the club's salary cap along with star forwards Anthony Watmough, Brent Kite, Glenn Stewart, Jason King and Matt Ballin.

The Sea Eagles will shortly announce that veteran Joe Galuvao has signed a new two year contract with the club.

Manly's salary cap pressure will be eased with departures of Will Hopoate, Shane Rodney and Michael Robertson.

offering 500k a year plus his old man a coachong job is a joke for a player who will be 2 years out of the game. great player at the moment but how long will it take him to get back to form without no training for 2 years. at least reni was training for the last year.

john hopoate as coach is seriously a joke

from memory there was a study done on players injuries either this year or last and one of the main findings was bone density was a major contributing factor. i think bone density increased as the season wore on and helped sustain a player.
so young hoppa will be effeted by this, but the increased bone density in his fathers skull should balance this out.
