Pettybourne isn't very big (he's smaller than Cayless if the web is to be believed), but he runs with real purpose and sting. He does a fair bit of his running up the middle, but you see him hunting a bit wider too. I think he's a real talent, but primarly a secondrower.
I think Inu can come good too (Hayne was tarred with the same brush until recently). Sure, he's probably overpaid based on the past two seasons ... but I still think he's class. I really like him, so I guess I'd hate to see him in different colours.
I still think Michael Monaghan would be a good pick up. He's experienced, tough and versatile. He could spend time in the halves and hooker, giving younger guys like the Keatings and Mortimer a big helping hand and some valuable guidance.
Wing is a bit more pigeonholed as a hooker than Monaghan, in my opinion, so we have to look to where our greatest need is and then compare them from a value perspective based on what (if anything) we could get them for.
There's a culture change happening at the Eels and I think we're only a couple of missing pieces away from having a team that can really compete in 2010 and even more so in 2011 and beyond.
