If you recall he left the Raiders to 'win a premiership' with the Eels,

Greeneyed - depends how you read it...

I know he wasn't offered a contract but that doesn't mean he didn't leave Canberra with the intention of winning the comp with Parra. Heck they'd just fallen 1 game short of the Premiership, he was well entitled to think he could win a premiership there instead of Canberra at the time.

AS i've said before - footballing wise letting McFadden go was a good move for the Raiders. Sure Finch did us NO favours by leaving but McFadden wasn't doing many for us in his time here.

And if you want to get pedantic - McFadden was with the club well before Finch arrived, got his chances DIDN'T take them. If you recall 2001 was McFadden's year of opportunity - thing was he was Keeping McLinden OUT not Finch keeping McFadden out.

We can differ on his footballing ability, but I think it is misleading to say "he left to win a premiership with Parra". He left cause he was thrown out in favour of the little traitor who left a year later. McFadden never wanted to go, he is a Canberra junior, and he always said he wanted to come back. The fact his career has fallen away in the last two years (partly form, partly injury) gives me no joy at all and I suspect that being dumped like he was by 2 clubs must have damaged his confidence. I am regretful about how he was treated.

If you said "Finch left the Raiders to win a premiership with the Roosters and to play in rep teams" I would have agreed totally. Not fair with McFadden.

While Cappy was never the greatest player in the world, I think its a bit harsh to call him the worst. I remember a few man of the match peformances from him and thats alot more then you can say about guys like Woolfgram etc

He would have fit in well with the style of play we are using now.

I remember one player being touted as the "next big thing" when he was signed by the Raiders from union, some second-rower with the surname Harrison... could be Wallaby Justin Harrison, don't remember 100%... but he played one game of firsts before being a regular reserve-grader if memory serves me correctly.

But the worst Raider of all... can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet, because I can't recall a single good or even average thing he has ever done for the Green Machine in his time with them.... Matt Rua

Wolfgram. I hated the guy! I remember going to a game once and he walked past me after playing reggies. I was decked out in my gear so he said hello to me. I didn't feel i needed to respond...so i kept walking

one thing about wolfgramm that will alway stick in my mind, in a game against the sharks a kick was put behind him and instead of chasing in a stright line (the quickest route) he decided to chace in a semi circle, the sharks scored...... idiot!
