Worst Rugby League TV Commentator?

I actually turn off the commentary when Kev Walters comes on. Possibly the most Broncos biased bull dust I have heard. Ray Hadley gets second place to this dribbler.
Commentary should be limited to trained journalists, with the relevant vocal and presentation skills. Switch to an ex player for a specialist comment only.
Who really believes that we tune in to listen the great "personalities" . We switch on to watch the football and then get subjected to mongs and drones prattling on.

But then I still laugh every time Brett Kimmorley tries to put a thought into words.

Whoever hired him has a brilliant sense of humour. I think they hate him that much they've given him a job where he has to think and speak (the two things he is worst at in the World) just so they can sit at home and laugh at him. Cruel f**kers - but piss funny.

The thing with Kimmorley is that his first year of commentary was good.It wasn't until some fookwit from Fox though it was in Kimmorley's best interests,to go to a voice coaching school to make him sound more masculine.

But all it does,as it all does with everyone who works at Fox,it makes you shout and commentate at the same time.

But like I keep saying...playing music whilst watching the football is truly your best friend.

Gould and his constant negativity are a massive blight on the game. Rabs needs to retire. Lewis is so biased it makes me sick. Fittler just rambles on with utter shit. Tallis needs to stck to the matty johns show, stay well away from the commetary box. Dont mind the rest. Oh, and fatty is a dick
Agree with all this, but I find Fittler's comments a breath of fresh air after the s**t pouring from Rabs and Gould.

Mental note for next year: Invest in fox, but turn off and listen to radio if Warren Smith is commentating

Yeah dude would like too, i work fifo so aint worth it!! I listen to the radio, either abc or 2gb. Only put the tele on for tigers games, and usually have music on. A sad f*cking time indeed when a fan cannot even watch his team properly

I generally prefer the radio commentators to those on either nein or Fox.

ABC for me provided Moore and Elliott are commentating. I don't mind David Morrow with his allegiances to St George.

I also don't mind Ginnane or Maroon on MMM.

I like freddy
He only adds a bit of comedy now and then

Can't stand Gould.
Waits until something has happened and then claims to have known it would .

I don't watch 9 for anything, not even the News because of Weedy Dan, so I've forgotten what they sound like. On Fox I get away with the volume down and surround sound on because I don't need help to see what's happening . . . Warren 'The Judiciary Watchdog' Smith and his nauseating monologue the only real put-off

If we need to have someone describe the game to us we need to accept that Milford was the best player in the game for a large part of the season . . . there should be a red button for those of us not sight impaired

I have to (hate to) admit it, but I quite like some of the insights that Freddy and Johns come up with
You can tell they really understand the game at a deeper level (at least than I do)

They notice and mention things which gives you a better understanding of what is happening and I believe it adds to the experience.

Sometimes expert opinion really is just that. I have to say I appreciate it when it happens.

Yeah dont mind some Johns, Fittler less so

One main commentator calling the game, a "colour" commentator, and maybe one guy on the sideline.

Nine need to cull at least 2 from the team.

Not that I watch nine but my main issue with Fittler is that he acts like he's about 10 years old and the questions he asks players or coaches are embarrassingly soft and offer nothing at all.

Johns definitely favours the team he's got a bet on or a player he's involved with somehow. Otherwise his insight is good.

The problem with nine is the same with everything they do: they patronize viewers and treat them like idiots. With league they treat it like it's another reality show - draw it out, overhype it and use it as a vehicle to advertise their network.

Always said both definitely know their stuff and Freddy is sometimes hilarious. Both just have a few damaged circuits between their brains and their mouths

Darren Lockyer was absolutely hopeless.

15 minutes when the Sharks were absolutely rolling on top of the Storm: "Both teams are out on their feet." Yes for storm, no for Sharks.

75 min in: "Both teams are out on their feet." Well, yes correct on this occassion.

Doesn't he have more cliches to use?

Were they dictating terms?
