Would This Team Compete In The Nrl,its A Sl Australia Team.

Heres a 17 team of aussies from the english SL,i want u guys to fairly judge this team,would it compete in the NRL? I think it would.
so,heres the 17 - - - -

1 clint greenshields - outstanding ex st george fullback,attacking superstar.

2 matt sing - now 30,but could play for most NRL sides.

3 Matt Gidley - Injury prone but on his day one of the best.

4 mark McLinden - played centre for harlequins and has been outstanding for them.

5 Adam Mogg - state of origin winger.

6 Scott Hill - oooooh genius.

7 Trent Barrett - Best signing in SL this off season.

8 Michael Vella - Heard hes still going strong and the Eels wanted to keep him.

9 Aaron Gorrell - goalkicking ex st george hooker.

10 John Skandalis - tough prop whos a wests legend.

11 Bryan Fletcher - Class 2nd rower who still has it all.

12 Phil Bailey - superb ex cronulla back row or centre.

13 Glenn Morrison - often got the man of the match in the NRL.

MY SUBS WOULD BE ---------------------

14 Michael Korkidas - The roosters should never of let this superb prop go.

15 Casey McGuire - will he prove the whole of the NRL wrong?

16 Lee Hopkins - A player wigan wanted,a 100%er who is all class.

17 jason croker - will it be a season too many? but on form class.

It's a bit Dad's Army. I reckon around 12th, but much would depend on the next 8 in the squad for depth. It's a bit weak up front, too. The Gidley/Sing combo looks good running off Hill, though.

There are more good Kiwis in Sl than Aussies and on the whole they are younger too.
The Aussie team would go okay but they are a bit old and drop away after the top 13. If they had any injuries they'd struggle.
Oh, and why is Richards in the mixed side but not the Aussie one?

as far as that first team goes, the backline is much stronger than the forwards. I don't think they'd make the 8 in the nrl

He has been one of the few knights players to avoid injury in the last few years - and has only had a couple of injuries in his career - although they were bad ones and he took a fair while to get over his leg injury in 2001.

I can honestly say that I have trouble finding space for any of those player's you've listed into a Manly top 17. Plenty of those players were great at thier peak but most of those players have climbed the hill and are now making thier descent. Korkidas and the Mayor of Minto are about it tbh...Maybe Greenshields on the Wing.

A NZ XIII selected from ESL played GB this year and got thrashed. They were put together in a hurry but that team on papare was far stronger than the initial team selcted in this post. As previously mentioned it was like a Warriors Old boys side.

It was shocking to see this team referred to as the Kiwis.
