I certainly would not dump league. In fact I might follow some amateur teams in the area, I have a lot more respect for amateur or semi-professional sports anyway.

it would make it harder because although I support the panthers and titans and cheer for them and everything my no.1 team is the eels and when I cheer for the eels its a whole different feeling that cant be explained. I suppose the best way of explaining it is cheering for the panthers and titans (as much as I love doing it) is almost like having sex without the orgasim. As much as you enjoyed it, at the end of it all your left kind of unfulfilled. But ill always watch the game and I pretty much watch every game now any way.

i wouldnt dump the game, its the greatest game in the world and ive always thought of it as bigger than my club (i would be pi**ed off though and wouldnt support another nrl club). i reckon hundreds of thousands of people would though, which is why no sydney clubs will ever be forced to fold or even relocate. the nrl cant afford to lose that many fans.

Ive stated elsewhere that I was a Jets supporter and have lost my club before , I dont think I could follow another team again, therefore i would have little or no interest in RL

Would still watch and attend games. I am assuming that club would still player lower grades such as NSW, SG and Matts?

If Manly folded as a 1st grade club, I'd assume they would either push for a Sunshine Coast NRL side which I may or may not support, QLD thing gets to me, or they would apply for NSW Cup status in which I would most definitely support.

If the Tigers folded I would probably become a fully fledged Titans supporter as I live on the Gold Coast... I am a member of both

I would still watch. I watch everygame as it is now anyway. Not much would change but going to a few less games with a real care.

I enjoy seeing many teams play and today will go to a neutral game if it looks like a good one.

For example, I will see the warriors play this year whenever I am able simply cause they look exciting and I wanna see big manu up close.

I dont find the game boring now, in fact the opening 2 rounds have been super exciting (bar a couple of games).

I do agree that it is getting far far far far far far to soft with head highs and some of these grapples are a disgrace, like the Barret one on monday.

However I see this as just the tinkering of the rules which has taken place over the existance of RL, sh*t changes ultimately get changed back although I fear the soft changes are for the Helens of the world and may stay.

There is no way I would dump the code, I am sure I would be gutted but you can't watch the games that we are treated to each week from many teams I don't even like and not love the game.

I am also sure I would try and get my side (or some sort of rep back in) but after some time I would connect with another side and over time find my passion.

I doubt I would ever dump Rugby League - I'm just too passionate about the sport as a whole to not watch if the Roosters weren't playing.

I'd probably switch my allegiance to my nearest team which at this stage would probably end up being the Bears if they get the go ahead in Gosford.

The added attraction of going for a new franchise is that there's no history or rivalry between the clubs to get in the way of my original allegiance.

Well, if I conveniently ignore the proud past history of the North Sydney Bears that is :p

I still went to Nth Eagles games when Manly merged. It wasn't the same really but I still followed them, but if Manly folded I don't think I'd go to any games and I don't think I'd nearly as interested in NRL games but I'd still watch it.

When souths got kicked out in 99 I did not watch a game (even on tv) until souths won the court case. I did that because I was angry that the club was kicked out and everytime I would see the NRL it would remind me of those who forced us out of the comp. If souths get kicked out again I will give up supporting the game. Cant see myself supporting AFL or Union in a million years though. However if Souths were to fold on their own without being unfairly forced out then I would not have the same passion but I would still watch and support the game.

For those of you that criticise people for leaving the game if their club is kicked out you simply dont realise what it actually feels like. I reckon a big reason why souths lead membership numbers is because they know what it feels like to be out of the competition.

Absolutely not. Like others I'd probably stop putting money into the game, but there's no way I could stop watching it.

I didn't play junior footy because I loved the Broncos, I did it because I love Rugby League, and the only way that'll ever be any different is if the rules are changed so that there's 15 men per side and field goals are worth 3 points... or something stupid like that.
