The only people who use the expression these days are people using it as an insult. What is this "movement" you speak of? As with most things the majority of people do the right thing by trying to treat people equally and support minorities etc. It's only the people at the extremes who are trying to "ruin" it for everyone.
Ruin what?

I'm presuming you're meaning for the kids whose lives are totally destroyed by these fiends.
Not to mention families , future relationships social cost etc.
..Its an ongoing evil nightmare that only response to is.... its unacceptable, you lose your rights to freedoms of society if you go down that track for whatever reason or excuse.

This arguement has been coming a while - and as disgusting as it is, there is an element of rationale in it.
If we are to agree, as is now commonly accepted, sexual orientation is not a ‘choice’ and people are either born straight/gay, and have no choice in who they find sexually attractive, the question could be posed that peados cannot help it - it’s how they’re born. What it doesn’t do though is make child porn or acting on those sexual urges acceptable. Another potential proposal would be that peados are all suffering a serious mental illness, something has happened that has made their brain not work right, and if that’s the case, should they not get afforded the same protection as other mental health issues (schyzos etc)….
I say all that playing devils advocate, I do think they’re mentally deranged, and the ones that act on it in anyway are beyond help - they should all be chemically castrated at 1st offence.

The elephant in the room is that most pedos were themselves victims of paedophilia but no one really wants to talk about that.

I’d be curious to see a study that backs up your claim.

From what I can find, the estimates vary dramatically (from about 20% to 70%), but add the disclaimer that this is based on self reporting, and that perpetrators of CSA may create stories about or exaggerate their own experiences to evoke sympathy while in treatment.

This one in particular references polygraph testing, where self reporting numbers dropped to 29% when the polygraph was introduced to the study.

Exposing your ignorance there. Child sex offenders / paedophiles are not victims . Do some research before you post anymore misinformation.
I think you got it wrong Willow. I don't think he is disputing the disgraceful behaviour of paedophiles but bringing up the concept of it self perpetuating. Bit like alcoholism in some ways. Its not an excuse but a reason in some instances.

Don't get me wrong either I probably lean to a lead based solution for paedophiles.

Look at the post from SBD82. Valheru is talking from a point of ignorance. It pays to do a little research before making random posts.
