WWE Summerslam 2005 Thread *Possible Spoilers*

In what has previosly competed with Wrestlemania for PPV of the year, Summerslam looks to be heading in a nice direction this year.

Thread used for thoughts, rumours, matches, results etc.

John Cena vs Edge is rumoured to be the main event on the RAW side of things.
Randy Orton vs Undertaker looks likley, as does Booker T vs Mohammad Hassan.

Christian vs Rey Mysterio is a possibiliy as well.

I don't care about any of those matches, except for Orton vs. Undertaker. If that's the card, they'd better start convincing me (on TV) that it's worth watching.

Christian vs Rey Mysterio intrests me alot.

Could have a great build up and A great match as well.

My prediction/guess for the SS PPV card:
Raw
Edge V Cena

Angle V HBK (Iron man match 30 min - hopefully longer)

Triple H V Big Show - Trips might be out of the title picture for a while but he'll still be a big PPV draw and this seems to me the logical place for a non-title feud)

SD!:
Batista V Christian, Benoit or JBL? - If Christian wins the feud with Booker T then a feud with JBL after GAB he would be built up as a legit title contender. Probably with Matt Morgan as new 'problem solver'

MnM V Dudley boys [-o< - This has got to happen at some point so maybe summerslam?

Randy Orton V Undertaker

Eddie V Rey - Epic final battle.

Carlito vs RVD vs Shelton Benjamin - I.C Title
I would be expecting Hassan to win the a U.S title and call it the Arab U.S title or something, then probably verse Booker T.

I'm trying to think of a place for Eddie...

Earlier in the year this was rumoured to be a retirement matach for the Undertaker, but it is likely now that he will wrestle beyond Summerslam!

NO WAY wil Cena V Edge main event the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. HHH will be in the Raw main event.

That could possibly make the worst Summerslam! OMG if you are headlining Cena vs Edge (Boring to say the least), and then HHH vs Flair (which would not be that exciting anyway). You are struggling. Here is the card I am hoping for:

Cena (champ) vs Carlito vs HHH (WWE Title)

RVD (ic champion) vs Kurt Angle (LADDER MATCH)

Big Show vs Chris Jericho

Trish vs Lita (women's championship)

Batista (champ) vs Christian (World Heavyweight Championship)

Undertaker vs Orton (steel cage)

MNM vs The Dudleys vs Psicosis and Juventud (Tables Match for the Tag Team Championship)

locky, you obviously havn't seen last time HHH and Flair went one on one. Was a highly entertaining match and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Cena vs Edge will be the Title match, its not the one I want.

Your card is unrealistic, i went for a more realistic one.

Ps. Whats with all the exclimation points?

HBK vs Hulk Hogan seems set to be named with a HBK heel turn on RAW. Can have a good build up not sure how long Micahels can carry the match with Hogan

I saw that match, it was on RAW if I am not mistaken. I just cant seem to think that a Flair match given his age can be anything short or boring to say the least.

I made my card as one that I would want to see. I know the WWE wont do it, which is unfortunate

*Triple H has not appeared on RAW for the past two weeks. The plan right now is to have Edge vs. John Cena at SummerSlam and then bring back Triple H for an angle with John Cena. The plan as of right now, is to hopefully have Triple H help out John Cena in the same way that he did with Batista.

I dont, watch how quickly he gets back into the major title hunt, he will squash all in his way for a month or so then be straight back in amongst it with a Tista fued IMO
