Who was the last guy to come straight onto the WWE main roster without going through developmental, that wasn't a WCW or ECW wrestler prior? And how long ago?

Thing is, the current roster is in shambles. There isn't enough names to put arses in the remaining seats, they need something to really kick the product back up in the ratings. The fans who stopped watching are the ones who know who Nakamura is, know who Styles is, knows what Anderson and Gallows have accomplished. WWE can't afford to miss this opportunity.

And for what it's worth, Styles was basically written out of New Japan tonight. Attacked by Bullet Club, bowed to the fans afterwards, looked genuinely teary. Really seemed like tonight was his last match. However, Nakamura had his next challenger set and both Anderson and Gallows got a win over Great Bash Heel (Tag champs). Good chance that we'll see Nakamura drop his title on Feb 11th and Gallows and Anderson to bow out in a similar fashion to Styles when they lose; that show does seem to be shaping up as a real "New Era" show.

Really worth checking out tonight's show (New Year's Dash).

Most fans have stopped watching not due to who works at the WWE, but rather because of horrific booking and the knowledge that their guys will never go over. Daniel Bryan never would have headlined Wrestlemania had the fans not completely hijacked Raw for months. Forcing headliners on the crowd, no long term plans, and repetitive booking have driven fans off in their thousands.

And they haven't been really picked up by another promotion; NJPW & ROH have the hardcore fans locked in but have had steady numbers, while TNA shot itself in the foot when Bishoff & Hogan rocked up and tried to be WWE "lite" (they lost 600000+ viewers in the last 18 months since being forced off Spike). The only real place ex-Raw watchers have gone to is NXT, which for WWE can play as a good thing as it helps promote their Network.

The main problem comes back to booking and creative, and the only person that has the final say in that is Vince McMahon. He needs to realise he has lost touch with his audience and try and engage with those that do, but that won't happen.

I went to wrestle kingdom on Monday in Tokyo. Nakamura might kill someone in the WWE.

If they did Bullet club in WWE it would be awesome. However they'd do it for like 6 weeks and kill it off... They rush everything

Kurt Angle?

Angle worked Power Pro Wrestling in '99, WWF's feeder program which featured guys like JR Smooth (Rikishi), Baldo (Prince Albert) & Shawn Stasiak (Meat) among others.

Eva Marie is the answer, before her it was Sin Cara.

I'm under no illusion that it's a rare occurrence. However, if the WWE wanted to draw more interest and help make this the biggest Wrestlemania of all-time, they'd throw some caution to the wind.

nah, I want to see Rusev in something worthwhile.
No disrespect to Taker, but he's not part of the bigtime storylines anymore. He looks like he's aged about a decade in the last 8 months.

Kane and Taker can have a fued with each other At WM

WWE need to decide what they are doing with Rusev very quickly. If they see him as a genuine Heavyweight Champ, they should be looking to act on it soon, otherwise, he'll just be another Cesaro

The WWE wouldn't have booked Taker as strongly as they did the past 12 months without having something special lined up. Rusev's credibility needs to be restored & Kane isn't a big enough name.

Maybe they'll go all out and bring Kurt in? Or maybe they'll trust the opinion of the other doctors and clear Bryan?

Or elevate Owens, Joe or Ambrose...

There are plenty of ways to go.

Taker is one of my all-time favourites, and I agree. It's sad. :(

Taker v Kane casket match. Kane puts taker in the casket and shuts the lid after a long exhausting battle. The bell rings. Kane is declared winner. He ambles over and lifts the lid only to find it empty.

Thats a way to bow out

Finding it empty would suggest a return.
