When your two marquee matches are a Flag and Punjabi Prison match you know you're in big trouble. I just loved how the first ten minutes of the Punjabi Prison match was spent on escaping the first cage and the importance of escaping first, only for Orton to escape second and almost win the match. It didn't get much better from there, a couple of good spots separated by large segments of plodding and slow motion wrestling. I popped for the Khali appearance at the end, score one for the Punjabi Playboy.
Outside of the cool finish, the only memory of Cena/Rusev was Cena deciding to slowly stammer his way to the podium like he was a zombie instead of doing whatever sane person would do and actually jog/sprint over to get the match over and done with. What a stupid stipulation that was and while it was obviously set up so they could do the AA from the podium through the two tables, the set-up wasn't worth it.
Still, none of those matches were as bad as the women's matches. Of all five women, they let the two worst performers (Tamina & Lana) dominate the match. Between that and Naomi's awful commentary it was like a cruel joke.
Otherwise I agree with you Marshall. That modified code red from Woods was nuts, as well as that sick super-kick interference from the Usos. After the match, I was actually looking forward to the rest of the show and thought it could only get better from there. How wrong I was, it was easily the MotN and even the Phenomenal One found himself in an anti-climax.
