Question to those who wanted Cena to turn heel circa 2006-2010. Who would have been your top babyface?

Either Orton ( ) or Batista.

Orton has always been overrated as a face. As much as he can pop a crowd, he sure can't pop a buy-rate or rating. All his reigns have lead directly to less eyes on screens. Can't really cut face promos either.

Similar story with Batista except Big Dave was *Boogeyman voice* 40!

Very short shelf life and the guy couldn't stay fit enough to be trusted as the No. 1 guy.

And for mine, those are the best two nominations you're going to find.

I did think about putting Christian into that mix too, but honestly if Edge hadn't been injured he never would of made it to the top of the card.

I watched raw and Saturday (I usually watch it on weekends) and it changed my mind a bit about the Taker/HHH storyline. I still think the whole Taker winning the battle but losing the war thing is very thin but I have to commend WWE on how they have presented it. That video about last year’s match made it look like it was all one way traffic.

Finally got about watching The Rock vs John Cena promo from last week's Raw. In 3 minutes Cena made The Rock look ridiculously stupid. Why can't we have this John Cena appearing more often?

Rock destroyed Cena in those History promo's and when Rock tries to make the promo serious what does Cena do? ruins the whole ending by standing there and grins stupidly

The crowd was 100% against Cena when the promo started and by the time it ended, they were on his side.

The Rock just talked a bunch of trash really - calling him a coward without ever really backing it up.

Pretty sure Cena won that promo.

crowd was a bit odd all night, great pop for Santino win though.

Cena sucked any life that promo had by smirking the whole time.

Punk smirks all the time, doesn't stop guys like Cena, Vince or even Lauranaitis cutting quality promos.

Jericho, punk, rock, HBK and a lot of the best promo workers smirk during promo's but when it gets serious frown or show some other emotion to contribute to the promo.

It's a major annoyance that I have with Cena over the past few years. No matter how serious the feud gets he always seems to be smirking particularly during the final fight of the feud. perfect example is the Kane match at Elimination Chamber. here was "Serious" grudge match between Cena and the man that had crippled his best friend and beat him up countless times. he cracks jokes on the mic during the match and smiles a lot. imo this ruined the match.

That's always been a pet hate of mine as well.

But in this feud with The Rock - I don't have a problem. Rocky should be able to overcome Cena's facial mannerisms and even make a point of him. Instead, he made some generic points and walked out. The more he exposes himself to the crowd, the more they turn on him.

And no, I don't believe it's a ploy. I honestly believe the fans are indifferent to Dwayne Johnson.

The best example of that is from TNA. Taylor Wilde vs Daffney in a Monsters Ball Match, Daffney (with Stevie Richards + Abyss) come out serious for the match. Taylor Wilde comes out as if she is about to have a pillow fight.
