Bryan didn't need the win given he already pulled Bray's pants down on television.

Having Bryan lose two matches in one night wasn't a crash hot idea.

A heel commentator talks down a babyface? Why I never...

Having Bryan go down the way he did didn't weaken his character and built Wyatt, but the feud had already been blown off so this felt like an awkward tack on to the end of that. But the result set up the rest of the night, and handling it the way they did throughout the PPV made it show how little the WWE thought of Bryan beforehand.

So having Bryan not in the RR, but El Torito instead was a good idea? Or Kevin Nash (again)? Or JBL?

Wyatt needed to get his back especially going into a Wrestlemania program with the biggest star in the company in John Cena. It was evens stevens booking, but it worked because a lot of people are now buzzing about Bray after that performance.

What does that have to do with protecting Bryan?

I know these are from SmackDown, but everyone seems to be on here anyway.

The Elimination Chamber participants are:

- Randy Orton
- Daniel Bryan
- Sheamus
- John Cena
- Christian
- Antonio Cesaro

Four of them have no chance really, either Orton retains or the WWE give the fans what they want, and give Bryan the titles.

Hoping they at least give Cesaro a strong showing.

^ Maybe they can make a second one and use it similar to a MiTB match, except the winner becomes the #1 contender and has to specify when he will use it... and obviously they can't use it at WM because that's when the RR winner uses it.

I think there is two this year. The Championship match, and Wyatts vs The Shield If I read the Smackdown results correctly.

One Elimination Chamber match is perfectly fine.

Otherwise you end up with Chambers that feature Santino Marella in them (where he turns out to be the highlight of the whole damn match).

Raw ratings down. Looks more likely that the big boost was because of the massively epic and awesome cage scene from the week before and not because of old puffy mcbotox head.

Considering the show focused more on Bryan than Batista - I don't think that's the conclusion the company will draw.

 Exactly, the company has always been stubborn.

But really, I don't think there's much that can be read into the ratings nor should there be. I still think it's Batista who drew the high rating because it was his segment that peaked the show and he was heavily advertised but I didn't think it justified his push - for the WWE I believe it sealed their original decision.

I think the whole Batista surprise would have been a lot more palatable if the news of his return wasn't leaked. Still, poor timing and all that but at least fans wouldn't have got the impression he was the red herring.

Just so I'm not just talking out of my arse, this is paraphrased from this week's Observer.

The Batista segment on the 20/1/14 show drew six million people, and was the highest rated segment of the show while by the third hour, Raw had lost two million viewers.

You would have to think if they cared so much about ratings, that they'd remove Orton from the championship picture which could be likely at EC.

They should have waited a bit later in the show to accurately gauge what was what. But then, that is the least of the 'Es f**kups lately.

I'll give them one thing though, this has set fire to this sub. Most active it's been in months. It's been four days and we're still going. Controversy = Cash i guess.
