Fantastic Raw.
Crowd was just as fantastic as they were the year before. They really enhanced and made a lot of segments, including the celebratory Bryan promo. Nice sentiment, "you deserve it". Indeed, Nawlins, indeed.
Wyatts/Cena, Sheamus & Big E was a fun opener.
Paul Heyman streak promo was everything it had to be. A brilliant promo, don't think many will touch it, let alone top it.
Rob Van Dam is back, yay? Unless they let him talk or give him a good angle I'm not overly interested. It's a shame that they ruined Sandow like they did, that would have been a nice feud right there.
Speaking of returns, nice to see Barrett back in the ring. I don't think it was smart to put Mysterio there, I think The Miz or Dolph Ziggler should have taken his spot and if they wanted to get Rey on the show, he could have worked the six man tag. Big E shouldn't be taking losses.
Usos/Orton + Batista was bit of a waste, but at least as a filler segment, it was sort of interesting to see a faux Evolution reunion.
Alexander Rusev finally debuted and it was pretty bleh. I don't think the camel clutch is a smart choice for finisher, I think he needs something more impressive.
And while it was clear that she was nervous and the segment itself was sort of clumsy, nice to see Paige brought up to the big time. I don't think I've seen the Diva's championship receive that sort of reaction since Payback 2013.
Cesaro is now a Heyman guy and I'm glad they got the Swagger/Cesaro stuff out of the way. Time to figure out a suitable match to put Cesaro in so they can get him over as a main event level guy.
Speaking of the main event, yeah it was a fun self-contained ending to the episode which confirms once and for all, The Shield are faces.
Finally, I'm excited to see the likes of Adam Rose and Bo Dallas make their way onto WWE television. It truly is an exciting time to be a wrestling fan and I finally feel that the company has a new lease on life.
