I don't see why it's such a ludicrous claim. Being a faster player doesn't necessarily make you better; that being said, Ibe is not slow. Sterling only perhaps looks better right now because he's had a lot more experience at the top level.

Both at full potential and sterling is the better player. Has more game intelligence about himself than ibe who relies purely on power and pace.

Still, ibe at full potential would be a great player to have at our disposal.

Ibe is a lot more direct IMO, he'll grow into a good player. That goal will be great for his confidence.

Sterling may have better game intelligence, but again I will argue that having a lot more pressure-cooker top-flight experience has cultivated that.

To a degree yeah but sterling was playing for England at ibes age and starting (and holding his own alongside sas) for liverpool. Sterling also played like 5 positions to a relatively competent level for liverpool whereas ibe is struggling to get off the bench. That's no criticism to ibe as he is young, its just a reflection of sterlings ability.

Still, if Ibe continues to improve he will be up there, but it'll take him a bit longer.

Good point, but when Sterling got that new fresh start under Rodgers in 13/14, it was only because Ibe was injured at the time. Sterling before that had been ordinary and they wanted to give Ibe a go.

Interesting...his creative output has been better than Lallana's recently, plus he just recently came back from injury, so he must be getting rested...

Nailed on squad.

good pickup goes to show rawk isn't completely rubbish.

how did can go by the way? bad enough for klopp to hook him for an AM-FWD with 40 to go.

someone like stevie g in can's position last night would have made the difference between losing and smashing our biggest win record against palace , read that how you want about can's performance

Can was f**king horrible. Was at fault for first goal because once again showed he has no idea how to clear the ball. Instead he pussy-footed a stupid attempted pass for Lucas inside the box, and Lucas couldn't reach it. That's the second goal conceded this year off the back of a shit Can clearance. Pussyfooting is one of his problems, under-hits way too many passes. Still has MUCH to learn.

Palace weren't even that good. All they did was run fast. We are just not clinical enough in front of goal. Lallana needs to be f**ked off, he's left his balls at Southampton. The reality of playing for Liverpool clearly overwhelms him- he actually ducked under a cross that he could have converted into a goal from 1 yard out.

Mignolet back to shit form with dire distribution and a couple of hiccups with the ball at his feet under pressure. And partly at fault for second goal. Skrtel started playing shit once Lovren came on.

And oh boy, that Anfield crowd dead set needs to be culled. The fans in there are verging on disgraceful. Couldn't believe the audacity of some fans- especially sitting behind Klopp- to leave early. Crowd needs to be replaced with people who actually act like they want to be there, because the current ones are completely lazy, complacent, self-entitled, only sing when blowing a team away 5-0, and contribute to a toxic atmosphere when there's a setback. These days, going to Anfield to experience atmosphere is like going to New York to see the Twin Towers.
