To the vast majority of people, he seemed like a good solution. He's only been a shit piece of business (so far) in hindsight. It's the same with Sakho to a lesser extent. He's great for France, but when he puts on the Liverpool jersey, something takes ahold of him. Skrtel has always been a bit like that though, he's not the most football smart defender, but is still good technically

He's the most frustrating player I've ever had to support, except its not really his fault. The bloke gets injured more from TRAINING than playing! He's too unreliable, we can't be building a team around him.

Yep, it was crucial he stayed fit this season with Suarez gone. Really makes the transfer window that much more of a f**k up.

On another note, Lallana and sterling looked pretty good for England overnight. BR needs to use Lallana a whole lot more, classy and can run all day.

More to do with FFP compliance mate. We're well over wage wise and look like having all Champs League winnings withheld because of it. I wouldnt want Rodgers and the transfer committee spending anymore now anyway. May not be around too much longer after next window.

If it's because of FFP, then fair enough. But I don't believe in withholding funds because you don't trust your manager. You either fully back him, or you sack him.

Sick of people telling me to get off Rodgers' back because of what he did last season. Please. I know it was a great year, but the bloke has won zilch in his career. He hasn't won any trophies to buy himself more time. People have this blind faith in him because of last year, like he'll improve us over the year even while using some shitty team selections, tactics and defensive coaching.

If he is sacked, Rafa is by far the most likely successor, and I wouldn't really have a problem with that.

Easy to say with other people's money tho mate. Our transfers have been garbage so until the manager and committee behind are changed then I would expect our owners to be gun shy.

He's also dug himself one massive hole nick by making promises to Henry and FSG. The reason so many funds were made available is due to BR promising a title challenge and good run in Europe this season.

On another manager replacing him, not sure if I want Rafa. He played way too much politics behind the scenes last time and I doubt FSG will go back to him. Would split the fans that's for sure I reckon. I'd prefer we went for Klopp, Bielsa or De Boer.

We're no chance on Klopp, Bielsa is unlikely so I think De Boer would be realistic from my choices.

It doesn't matter if his transfers have been garbage mate. If you can't trust your manager, you may as well not have him. You need to invest if you want you to progress, especially in this day and age where EPL competitors will quickly leave you behind if you don't try and keep up. Punishing your manager isn't going to achieve anything. It's merely just cutting off his nose to spite his face. It would make more sense to me to spend money in January to try an save the season, instead of missing out on top 4 and AGAIN try to re-build for it. Besides, 3 of our scouts just got released.

Every manager makes promises to achieve what the owner expects mate.

Played with politics behind the scenes? Dude, don't you remember who he was actually trying to deal with? Two owners who almost literally killed the club, while amongst it all was boardroom fighting. All that Rafa wanted was money, and maybe also to kick the owners out. I'm sure he'd go okay with the much more stable set-up now.

Watson does not come close to Sturridge. Sturridge will go for a light jog and achieve something impossible like break his leg or tie his ligament into a bow.

Sounds like BR is on borrowed time. Read possibly DeBoer as replacement from Ajax. Ajax are apparently open to letting DeBoer move mid season. Gee I hope if this rumour has any legs to it, that Cryuff comes with him as Director of Football.
