I'm sorry but Migs deserves it. I've seen this silly argument that it's not his fault because his goal keeping coach doesn't coach him properly. But seriously, if he still hasn't learnt proper distribution, organisation and presence in the box by now, then he never will.
You may be right but Jones isn't the answer.
Thought we played ok this morning.
Played way more football than Arsenal did but as we know it doesn't always get you the result.
Was that Borinis last game for us?
He sure had a go but lost the plot at the end.
Surely we have to buy or rent a keeper and striker in January don't we?
Then again we needed the same before the season started and never eventuated.
Don't know if Chelsea are having a laugh or not but a few years ago we would've taken Czech andTorres in a heartbeat.
Today it's like a used goods sale and we are weighing up if we want a couple of used cars in preference to a couple of new ones.

Cech is still very good, it's only that Courtois is younger and arguably the best in the world that Cech doesn't get game time there. I'm not saying Jones is the answer at all. Cech would be a great solution, but whether he actually comes is another matter.

I've got a feeling that Rodgers will definitely use Borini's red card against him.

I'm confident that BR is looking at a striker and GK. He's definitely learned his lesson about relying on Sturridge.

We played overall very well. If Sturridge plays, we win that comfortably in my opinion.

Yeah, he's still a great player without Suarez. Wonderful dribbling skills, wonderful movement, and he can finish too. Such a livewire against Spurs, and we've dearly missed him up front- but especially in the last few games where we've needed him to be on the end of countless chances we've made.

Anyone know how we're travelling with these European fair trade rules?
We outlaid a heap in the last transfer window but given Suarez'situation our total spend would be average.
Gee Man City were rumoured to have been watching their spending (hence they didn't spend a lot last transfer window)but Chelsea have more players out on loan than our squad is worth.
Manures seemed to have spent a fair bit too for a club that isn't involved in Champions League.
They must've still spent more than we did.

I'm guessing there'd be no problem outlaying 50 million in January.
Besides we could cut 50 million in the blink of an eye.
Is that 20 million for Joe Allen,14 million for Borini still available?
Johnston,Lucas,Balotelli.
We could still end up in front after spending the cash.
Sounds like championship manager but it needs to be done.

When I heard the news on Gerrard this morning.

Although not a shock, it's going to be weird him not being around the club next year, and glad he isn't going to another PL club

Hoping the club offers him a job when he finishes up.

If Rodgers didn't change a winning team then maybe we actually would have played well! The guy is a dead set goose sometimes. There was absolutely no need to put Gerrard in there. He is not integral to our play anymore. I hope that for the love of God, he takes notice of how Lampard is treated, and then replicates that for the rest of the season. Save Gerrard for big, important games.

With the way our season has gone, every league game until season end is a big important game (particularly if we want to make the CL for next season).

But I do get what you are saying, there is no reason for him to play so many games.

Play him in the League Cup semi against Chelski, but not in the FA Cup until we come up against the bigger teams.

Europa though I'm not sure if he should play or not given that the winner gets CL qualification.

Gerrard can't start every game anymore. He needs to come on in the 65th for an impact. The squad that played against Swansea was just about spot on, even though Markovic was on the bench.
And how Lucas got hooked but not G was a shocker.

There was also no value in putting Borini on the field or on the bench. Negative sub and it cost us. And the Sterling as striker experiment has failed. We need a goal scorer, at all costs and Sterling on the bench.

Yeah I understand you, but I mean the real big games that he thrives in- v United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton etc...and yet maybe not even for all of those. He hasn't played well enough this season to prove he's so important that a winning, refreshing line-up needs to be re-adjusted around him. None of it is really his fault though. It's Rodgers.

Two things holding Sterling back as a striker are his lack of hold-up play and his general composure, which affects his decision making and execution. He knows how to make intelligent runs and dribble around defenders, but he needs to learn that holding the ball up is not always about looking for an easy foul so he can quickly flop on top of the ball and start play again. He also needs to quit being too impetuous and simply wait for support from team mates.

I didn't understand the Borini sub either. Why have Borini in the squad but not Balotelli? He shits all over Borini and Lambert. I think he was encouraging against Swansea. Maybe he should have put Ojo on instead?

Defended like horseshit again.

But but but "Wimbledon are having a good run in the league" - good one Brendon. Piss off back to League One.

After Swansea, I thought, 'hmm...who knows, maybe Brendan can sort it all out after all'. Well, based on that pile of crap though? f**k. Yeah right. Let's just say that the whole squad costs 250 million, that's probably around 250 million more than what Wimbledon cost, yet we couldn't even pass our way around a team that probably trains on tennis courts. About 2 and half years on and his team still doesn't know a few defending fundamentals. Why the f**k do these shit teams think it's an amazing opportunity every time they win a corner or free kick in a dangerous area? It's not that f**king hard Brendan! He can start by removing Can from the defence. He's not a defender. And then next? Well, we already know. And that's just the defensive problems  I will also be livid if Mario is sold, and Lambert stays.

Steven Gerrard: Liverpool captain would have signed summer deal

Steven Gerrard says he would not be leaving Liverpool if the club had offered him a contract last summer.

"If a contract had been put in front of me in pre-season I would have signed it," Gerrard told the Liverpool Echo.

"It's all ifs, buts and hindsight now. That period between the summer and the end of November gave me thinking time."

what a joke, my loathing of fsg has upped another level
