I have been given the tip that Dejan Lovren and Steven Gerrard have been at each other. When Rodgers first dropped Lovren, he did an open session and Lovren spoke out.
He addressed the group and said a lot of the defensive issues have come from Steven Gerrard playing the holding role and not protecting the back 4.
Lovren went on to say that he would prefer Lucas as the DM as he is more willing to put his bod on the line and make a tackle.

Gerrard has taken exception to this and it has caused a riff. As poor as Lovren has been though, he has a very valid point.
I am not sure if Lallana's injury has been posted anywhere, but he copped a knock against Man U and was subbed at half time. I think he will now be given time to get his ribs right.

Also been told that Markovic will be getting an extended run in the team and Rodgers is leaning towards playing Balo and Sterling up front.

I don't really watch to many Liverpool games but from the few I've seen I'd have to agree with Lovren. Gerrard has looked lost in the DM games that I've seen.

It doesn't excuse Lovren for being an absolute shit merkin though. He is right though. I can understand Gerrard being pissed off, but I'd be pissed off if Gerrard didn't agree with him.

Lovren is f**king spot on, I also like the fact he has a strong enough character to stand up and say it. Gerrard apparently has alot of power at the club so Lovren standing up and throwing some of blame at Stevie shows balls IMO.

Nick is also right tho, doesn't excuse Lovren playing like dog shit. He's a quality defender so I'd love us to get some confidence back in the defence. That's gonna come with a Boss Keeper and someone who can actually protect the back 4 in the CDM role. Maybe a little actual coaching wouldn't go astray as well. I actually think my Sunday league team a few years ago had more of an idea when it comes to defending than we do.

Gee I hope what you say is true CB4 and we start playing Ballo up top with sterling. Sterling needs to work on his shooting tho, those little pass backs to DeGea at the weekend were weak as piss.

A lot of your defensive problems could be solved instantly by moving Gerrard either further up the pitch or off it altogether

Gerard has never been good at defending. He just doesn't read the game well defensively so all his efforts are reactionary rather than anticipating. It just allows the other sides midfielders to stroll through ours.

I would love to see someone come in with balls to say accept a reduced role or its MLS next season Stevie.

A move would only sort part of the problem.

Gerrard can't be held completely responsible for the calamitous set pieces where a large portion of the goals have come from.

Our whole defensive set up is a shambles. It comes from the coaching IMO more than anything. BR, Pascoe and Marsh just haven't got a clue when it comes to defence. Throw in a Keeper who's only strength is his shot stopping ability, it's no wonder we're garbage in defence.

Whenever we conceded a rubbish goal it's always telling to see absolute confusion on our players faces. No one even has an idea about whats actually gone wrong.

What's happened to Sakho? A few years ago he was one of the highest rated young defenders in Europe but with Liverpool this year it seems to be Lovren and Skrtel at the back. Is he been injured or just shit?
