BR has done a lot more right than wrong lately, I'm gonna keep off his back for the time being.

I still don't get the love affair Rodgers has with Joe Allen.
Obviously taking him along for the ride from Swansea.
We aren't the same side with Allen in the team.
We got lucky last weekend and on another day Southhampton may have had a couple of penalties.
No prizes for guessing who the culprite was on both occasions.
Sure we won and you can't take anything away from the streak Rodgers has us on but its like watching a game of Russian roulette when Allen replaces Gerrard.

Credit to Mignolet as he was dead set shot as a keeper.
His improvement is the main factor we're on a run.(Mind you Sturridges return has helped).

He likes Allen because he 'does the job' when call upon. He actually wasn't that bad against Soton.

Allen is too weak to play the deep holding role he gets asked to play. He moves the ball around ok, but the opposition midfield always strolls past ours when he is there. Would much prefer to see BR play Can instead of Allen. Tho what hat would do to our defence I have no idea, as Can has been great for our defence.

Just read we've asked about Sami Khedeira of Real Madrid. Obviously we're not the only club as there plenty others as well. Also expect Ings to arrive from Burnley as well as Origi, surely means Borini and Lambert are done possibly Mario.

Why not Alex Song? He's proven he can handle PL. And Barca aren't parting with Busquets any time soon.

Mario won't go. We haven't got the best out of him.

Borini and Lambert are gone though.

Khedeira is step up from song IMO, tho we'd certainly feel the difference $$$ wise in the move as well.

Skill wise, he's definitely a step up from Song. He's a world class player. The only issue with Khedira is that his injury record is shocking. In saying that, he's probably worth the injury risk on a free, but he shouldn't be bought to 'replace Gerrard'. We need someone a lot more robust, someone cut from the same cloth as Suarez.

I agree that Mario probably won't go. He's getting better, and you can tell that he is very devastating at his best, so it wouldn't make sense for Rodgers not to persist with him. Out of Lambert and Borini, Borini is the more likely to go IMO. Borini wants first team football, whereas Lambert accepts that he wasn't bought to be a consistent starter. Borini needs to let go of his hubris and just accept that he won't make it as a consistent starter at a big club.

Yeah true nick, he's injury record is shocking so the club needs to tread carefully if it is going in for him. I think we've got a Gerrard replacement at the club already in Emre Can, cannot wait til he gets moved into the Midfield on a permanent basis.

Shame young Rossiter got injured recently as I'm sure BR would've used him in turkey this week. Has sent a very you g squad over to face Besiktas.

Yeah, I have a feeling that Hendo, Coutinho and others are being rested as a precaution to keep them fit for Sunday. It's all about trying the balance the two commitments of EPL and EL, and BR seems confident enough in our travelling squad to finish the job in Istanbul, and I feel confident too. With Can, Sterling, Sturridge and Lallana, we still have enough attacking firepower. Had we not gone over to Istanbul with an advantage, he may have been less willing with a young squad.

Willing to bet my life that Liverpoolrumours.com will tell us that 'Liverpool are not looking at Khedira'. They're the biggest party poopers

While agree with you and Sam that we haven't seen his best and we all want to, I just think the club wants rid of him and his disruptive ways off the pitch. I'd love him to get his head right and just play, Mario could really be an ace up the sleeve coming for us.

Borini is just a determined little shit, he really wants to be given a chance to make it with us but facts are he's just not what we need. He's a great squad player in the sense that he'll give it everything he's got every time he's on the pitch. We should've bitten Stokes arm off for the 14-15m they offered for him last TW.

We'll also no doubt sell Aspas and Alberto who are away on loan as well. Plenty of forwards to get rid off to raise some $$$ provided we can find buyers.

agree with this, after penaltygate, BR went out of his way to criticise mario dropping off his work rate after the goal and then left both him and sturridge on the bench vs southampton and un-used.

to me that was a stand for backing up sir stevie and hendo.

BR has never been supportive of mario fitting in his systems

I disagree mate. Sturridge was benched to manage his fitness, Balo would have been benched regardless. That's how Rodgers is trying to ease Mario into it. Remember that Rodgers did say that the 'penny has dropped', so he's clearly optimistic about the future of Balotelli. The only reason Balo wasn't subbed on is because the emergency sub of Markovic and Moreno used that last remaining substitute option, as it was a much higher priority than bringing on Mario. I say emergency because Markovic was absolutely horrible in the wing back position. Had Moreno started, or Markovic gone alright, there would have been room for Balotelli to make an appearance.

sturridge made the bench also and you have nothing to suggest that if a striker was needed, that balo would have came on instead of sturridge.

penny dropping isn't exactly a glowing endorsement, and you haven't acknowledged BR's most recent unprovoked comments on balo

Then I bet he said, 'Khedira asking for too much. Not interested. Don't hold your breath'

Even went so far as too say that Liverpool would be the best fit for him out of the interested clubs, should he gets his injury situation sorted. A some what positive post for once.

I think the clubs opinion on Mario hasn't changed since they were looking to offload him last transfer window. He plays for himself instead of the team and this is disruptive plain and simple. I'd love to see him lose that attitude and turn it around, just won't hold my breath waiting for it
