From what I've just read CJ we seems to be wanting Skrtel to accept a more incentive based contract. Most contracts aren't agreed to first time anyway mate. Shows how shit our defence is if Skrtel is the best we have. Plays to deep, makes too many rash challenges which forces others to cover unnecessarily and is a bit too fond of league style tackle.

they've offered him a year on year contract, the one's you offer to the likes of giggs in his last few seasons. the bloke's not even 30 yet and has hardly missed any games his entire career, slap in the face for a bloke who's stuck solid and performed year in year out

Agree somewhat but you only have to look at what we did to Agger and are trying to do to Lucas. meanwhile professional holidayers like Enrique continue to do SFA for the club.

Players like Agger, Licas and Skrts bleed for the club yet Joe f**king Allen, Enrique and Ballotelli pick up a pay cheque while doing SFA

unlike skrtel, agger was susceptible to injury.

unlike skrtel, lucas hasn't performed in rodgers system.

skrtel is being f**ked over and is the guy in our club who least deserves it.

Agger would've played same amount of games Sakho or Lovren even if injured. He's also the best ball playing CB the club had which is kinda what our system requires. Skrtel has nfi with the ball at his feet.

Don't agree with Licas either, he's a holding midfielder who reads the play and doesn't let opposition midfielders stroll past him. He actually allows our midfield to play as he's the only who does the dirty work.

Skrtel has performed in Rodgers system?? You can't be serious.

Skrtel getting dudded here IMO, who the f**k would sign and incentive contract at 30 and having been their best defender all season?

Yeah he's got some flaws but he's our 2nd best behind Sakho and deserves a new deal.

Nah don't have anything against him mate, just don't rate him as highly as you do. Our defence and defensive systems are a f**king shambles so being the best is hardly anything to rave about.

I do take your point with Agger and agree he was injured way too much tho. Which is a shame coz IMO when fit he was a good partner to Skrtel as he was more technical on the ball and marshalled the defence a lot better. Skrtel has f**k all communication with his defence which is his biggest downfall IMO.

this is the same bloke that partnered carra to become the most miserly defence in the country, and still performing year to year as our best defender. did his communication fail him back then? did he lose ability overnight? blame FSG and BR for not replacing Carra properly. Skrtel is an asset who's given the club great service and should be treated as such

You answered it yourself, Carra was the leader in that partnership, plus we had a manager who could actually coach the defensive side of the game.

We'll have to agree to disagree about Skrtel, he's an ok defender who wouldn't get a look in at Most bigger clubs IMO.

Milner is a Hendo clone with experience. He'll work his ass of for us so I'm pretty happy. If 150k a week is true then it's a tad overs. Now to sell sterling for a profit and move on from that saga

Yeah I'm doubting the 150k as well nick. Thats Gerrard type wages, tho who knows with our management.

No transfer fee, it'd be close to those figures. It's not like his only option was the Pool.

Don't see the problem with the wages. Money saved on a fee goes to him. Milner is a very good signing for Liverpool. They've got a talented PL proven player for free. It's not like he was going to play for free.

Who cares what wages he is on at the end of the day, its not your money..

from what I've read on another site Milner made his decision based on playing time. Sure he'd get decent coin but it seems his actual time as a starter was a big choice for him as well.

With him and Hendo in the middle of the park we'll have a pretty hard working midfield combo.
