Honestly I'm not too fussed either about his wages. I'm fine with 150K, considering that there's no transfer fee. Besides, Liverpool need to offer better wages if they want to attract better players. Milner's a good start.

I may be wrong, but he strikes me as the type of player Mourinho would go for too. He's talented, proven, mentally strong, but above all else a very hard worker who always puts in extra effort. He's a great presence to have in the squad.

we've just had a shitload drop off the wage bill with Gerrard and Johnson so there's probably some room to move without attracting more FFP problems anyway.

from what I've read on another site Milner made his decision based on playing time. Sure he'd get decent coin but it seems his actual time as a starter was a big choice for him as well.

With him and Hendo in the middle of the park we'll have a pretty hard working midfield combo.

I don't understand his comment that he's a 'lesser Hendo'. Couldn't agree less, Milner is far more proven and technically refined than Hendo.

Yeah I saw that, would probably agree Milner has a touch more quality than Hendo as he's a lot more versatile. Milner can actually whip a ball in for his forwards which is something LFC as a whole struggles with most of the time. More I think of the signing the more I like it nick.

Here's hoping BR doesn't stuff him around like just about all his signings bar Couts and Studge

Lol RWB it is. You can hear BR now " James shows tremendous character, he knows what it means to pull on this shirt with all his tremendous characteristics"

Surely Milner gets the Gerrard CM role alongside Hendo.

A lot more versatile, and probably more consistent too. Liverpool are horrendously bad at whipping in crosses, but then again, we've never really been a crossing team.

I hope he won't be our only midfield signing though. In saying that, I don't get this talk about the sudden need to 'replace Gerrard'. The Gerrard that we miss last appeared at least 3 years ago. Ever since then, he's become more and more of a passenger.

We'll see. Who's DM...Joe Allen? Seriously, Rodgers' ignorance to buying a bona fide DM absolutely boggles me. It's probably half the reason why this team has had no fight.

His ignorance to buy a DM and constantly pick Allen anywhere in the team is what boggles me. I'm with ed001 Gary Medel would be brilliant for us in that role. He was beast like at WC for Chile

Ahhhhh well. Speaking of Rodgers...can you gather from their posts exactly why FSG kept him? They're really good at not answering the big questions, instead give vague one line answers implying that you f**k off. If money, nor other managers was an issue, then whyyyy the hell is here still here, considering they don't want to back the guy

Yeah it's got me stuffed mate, tho I haven't had a huge look at all the BR staying posts. I'd say FSG knows what they are doing but football wise it's been shit decision after shit decision with them.

It's a rather cloudy situation. After times like this, someone from FSG such as Werner of JWH usually releases a public statement to Liverpool fans reiterating support for the manager, outlining club vision and etc...

Just saw your questions to the eds mate. Seems they're saying absolutely nothing has changed. FSG haven't backed or sacked BR and it looks to stay that way for the start of next season . :/

What does that even mean though? 'Nothing has changed'...what are they talking about? They're using that as the proof that he's not being backed, but I don't know what they're talking about.

I think it means just that mate, nothing has changed at all, he's not being sacked but he's not 100% guaranteed to see out the contract he's currently on. Seems ridiculously indecisive to me.
