But we're not the better team. We might've played ok but we lack the quality they do. Penalty was a shit decision as well.

Bellamy's knees arent up to starting consecutive games.

Kuyt was terrible, Reina had a shitter, and we missed Lucas big time

Better team my arse. You're playing like what you are: an upper mid-table team competing for the Europa League spots.

We could still jag 4th, in fact we should be 4th if we hadnt ballsed up matches against Wigan Blackburn and Fulham. But thats more that Arsenal and Chelsea are not much chop at present either

That's true. All the top six teams can say they've messed up either a few or a lot of games.

Looked to me like we were always going to run second in that one.
They were simply too good.
Didnt like Kennys team selection either but we do have them in the League cup semi next week so maybe he had a plan to play them 3 different ways-at least I hope so because if we play them again like that they'll smash us again.
Forgetting the Stevie factor because that selections a no brainer when he's at full fitness but how does Kuyt get the gig instead of Bellamy after the way he played last start?
Not a fan of the Spearing behind Adam scenario either but Spearing is on the learning curve.
Id try Carra there (or Agger and they swap over).
Certainly in an away game we are looking to hit them on the counter.

One thing todays game showed is they kill us in depth.
We still need to spend in my opinion and a striker has to be on the January transfer plan.

We are linked to Luuk De Jong in a big way. And I think the right wing could be sured up with Gaston Ramirez, apparently Suarez is pulling for him in a big way.

I am spending 3 weeks in the UK, get there on Sunday, will see what else hit the papers then.

Again, Bellamy cant start two games in a short space of time, his knees are shot. Pity about Kuyt but you'd take any offer you got for him at present.

We've got ManUre at home next in the FA cup. We've also been linked to Demba Ba and Eric Abidal.

Was the Carling Cup feed straight from Manchester City TV? Some of that commentating, particularly calling for Johnson's sending off at the end there... woefully biased.

Good win in the end, never really troubled. Bring on the second leg.
