Today's pop quiz:

It's 0-0 with 10 seconds remaining against Manchester United when Liverpool receive a penalty.

In a remarkable twist of fate, all 11 Manure players are seriously injured at that exact moment and all substitutions have already been made.

With Gerrard and Torres also replaced, it is up to Dirk Kuyt to take the penalty shot in front of an empty goal.

Does he hit the target?

* Yes, this is my genuine concern if Keane goes.

 I hear you brother. I can see us putting ourselves in Chelsea's position, selling players but not really replacing them.

We need alot to go right us winning consistently instead of drawing so much and Manure dropping points. Torres is a confidence player who has the potential to start hitting braces and even the odd hattrick at his best form, I think he was awesome around the same time last year in helping us secure 4th, he hit a real purple patch around Feb and March, so lets hope for a repeat. I agree that with Keane going we can't afford to have Torres miss any games now.

Torres's problem has been match fitness. He got the hammy injury at the start of the season, worked his way back from that, started to re-gain some match fitness, then re-did his hammy injury even worse. Imo he will be back to his old best over the next couple of games. Like you said he can be a bit of a confidence player at times. If he's not scoring goals, his output tends to wane.

Yep, the hammy has really held him back but he is one of those rare players that Liverpool desperately needs - can score a goal from nothing and rarely misses when given a decent chance.

I didn't know there could be two Gods but Gerrard and Torres have proven me wrong (after the Father Almighty Robbie Fowler that is).

Well Keane is officially back at Spurs for an 'undisclosed' fee

And we signed absolutely no one to replace him

If Torres goes down injured again then Liverpool will not only be no hope in the Premier League, but they can also rule out any chance of a run in the Champs League as well.

Rafa has really put all his eggs in the Torres basket now. Very very risky.

Not really Tom.(cant believe Im backing Rafa here).I like Keane as a player and I hope he does really well at Spurs(they suit him better)but really he didnt contribute a lot to Liverpool.
I just hope it means Ngog or Babel gets the run and not Kuyt because then you will be 1000 per cent right.
Maybe we'll get Villa now(i wish).

I respectfully disagree. Keane was just starting to hit his straps before Rafa mysteriously benched him. The goal at the Emirates and the brace at Bolton led me to believe that he was starting to regain some form.

Imo Rafa sold him more because he has not been able to integrate Torres and Keane into the same offense, and the easier option was just to sell Keane off. Pity, the guy is like Kuyt, works his ass off, except he also has great skills. No offense to Babel, but he has regressed this year, although to be fair to him, he's nearly always played out of position. Maybe Keane leaving can see Babel flourish at his proper position (thats my half-glass-full moment of the day).

I've lost a little faith in Rafa this season, we've virtually just given Tottenham 7mil (If Tottenham did buy him for 12mil) this season by buying Keane then selling him back .

Iv'e read figures of a 7 and 10 mill profit

I believe the 7mill figure is more accurate

Well didnt see that one coming this morning(yeh right).
Rafa's affair with Lucas continues and again cost the club.
Whats that a gift penalty and a sending off in his last 2 games.
Anyway more importantly I hope Gerrard isnt out for long.
Like Torres he has had hamstring problems and it may of been this which saw him forced off this morning-hope not but sounded like it.
Never good to lose to Everton but hey in the long term lets hope theyve done us a favour.

As long as he keeps consistently starting Mascherano and Alonso in midfield in the league, i don't mind him playing Lucas at times. I'm a bit disappointed in Lucas, i would have thought his recent run in the team would led to some improvement in him.

If Torres doesn't begin to hit his straps soon were in sh*t, we could eventually really regret selling Keane without replacing him.

I wouldn't call it that early. Remember Liverpool beat ManUre without Gerrard for nearly the whole game. I doubt he will be out for very long at all.
