huge difference between 2 seconds and 6 seconds
About 4 seconds apparently.........
huge difference between 2 seconds and 6 seconds
Thorpe was also growing at a rate of inches every month during that period. His feet grew something like 4 shoe sizes in his break out year of swimming when his PBs tumbled and he smashed the 400 and 200m world records.
Also there were rumours about his abilities and he was scrutinised closely to ensure he was legit.
Yes by east Germans in the 80's
It is suss as is the lithuanian chick
What difference does that make? Ye kept pace with the favorite, she was in 2nd place until the final 100m and 1.7 seconds below world record time at the 300m split. Then she swam the final 100 as fast as Lochte and won by a mile. I couldn't care less about her age or nationality. To me, for someone to be able to pick up the pace so dramatically after a mediocre first 300 is a little bit sus.Did she swim over 20 seconds slower than the same guy?
Why yes, she did!
Thorpe and Hackett swam the 1500 metres, big difference.
Thorpe wasn't a 1500m swimmer was he? Or not a renowed one anyway? Or is my memory failing me?

No, no Australians would ever be drug cheats, would they.
It's only the people with slanty eyes who beat Australians that are the drug cheats, huh.
China has a history of government implemented drug cheating. Australia does not.
This is why people are more suspicious of athletes making extraordinary improvements, not because of whatever racist drivel you want to try and bring into it.
Its not like she has come from nowhere though like the Lithuanian...
Ye won the 200m IM at the World Championships a year ago..,,
I am aware of that.
She also competed in the 400m medley at that meet, finishing 5th in a time 7 seconds slower than her winning time in London, but which was a PB at the time.
No one is saying she is not a world class athlete. that is beyond question. Its whether or not she is the worlds best athlete for her sport, which we have a right to question.
