'With a sound that was clearly influenced from the Seattle grunge scene, in particular bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, it came as no surprise to anyone that their band name was in fact a marriage of two songs from their biggest influences'
so what ?
Silverchair played at the Grammy's in 95 ...they played on the awning that faced out onto the street.
Now the grammys get shown all around the world .
Daniel Johns wore his YouAm I shirt.
Would you wear a Cinderella shirt if you didn't love them ?
You asked for an international band that were influenced by You Am I and I have proven it .
At the ARIA'S in about 96 Tim Rogers played with Silverchair when they did a cover of Radio Birdmams ''new race''....but that is probably a song you wouldn't be familiar with .
I would say that Silverchair and Jet are 2 very well known bands internationally .
So? and lol at the lemonheads. Its not uncommon for international acts to turn up at pubs to view the local talent.
Actually it is very uncommon for an band like soundgarden to bring a band from Australia out to America to support them.
Maybe here in Australia but not the other way around.
Ron ron ron...the Lemonheads were very very popular in their day.
You Am I are a popular Australian act just like TISM why wouldn't they get the gig?
Yes YAI are ...
TISM are a comedy act that Neil Finn wouldn't piss on.
As a side stage band with many bands that many wouldn't of heard off. Funny how they still couldn't get a look in in the market even with all there self promoting.
so fuggen what?
They got a gig on that tour...........do you have any concept of how many bands want a go on that?
lol lol and lol pulling out the big guns hey?
If you pulled you head out of your boyfriends 1985 bumhole and had a look around you may have noticed these bands have done pretty well over the last few years.
You didn't prove anything, just that a few bands saw them play and again if they were that good how come they didn't record an album and make it big overseas?
WTF ?
By this are you asking why didn't they record overseas?
If so
