based on this - the Panthers, Knights, Dragons and Sharks are treading water, whilst some clubs have improved markedly.

Brisbane lose Hunt and Taylor with no equal replacements, so I think we fit into the first category.

Dogs too I think.

Tigers, Rooters and Souths look to have bought well.

question is how much improvement is there in those teams who haven't bought? I know that is what the Knights are relying on, and we are a young team so it might happen. Or we might be 2010's Sharks/Roosters.

I worry that Rick Stone wont be able to get Newcastles young ones to work together consistantly, and Newcastle dont exactly have the star power they used to. Makes you wonder what the hell is happening in Newcastle. You guys used to be star packed. Was it Super Coach Hagan?

Warburton will be there, he developed his game well throughout the year, thats why i have him at 11 and Halatau and Paea fighting for a bench spot

No whispers of him being released?
It was reported on 2UE that Pearce was bustling to leave the Roosters and if he did Manly would sign him, but I think that won't happen now since it was reported that Manly had renewed the contracts of Orford, Robertson, D.Williams and Lyon today.

What Newcastle needs is stability in the halves. I think whoever gets the 6 and 7 need to be that way barring injury all year in 2010.

Knights have nearly everything else sorted.

Very true all we need is a good halfback and I'd be confident of the Knights being a real contender next year

I think 2011 will be the year the Knights have a realistic chance at the title as long as they get their halves sorted out in 2010.
