Your GF Day Routine

Just wondering if anyone has a standard routine for the GF day?

Host or someone you know hosts a BBQ annually? Always go to the game? Always head to the same pub?

My morning has started like most GF days do these days. Watched the 2016 GF. Show my young boys the greatest try in GF history as big Andy carries five defenders over the line to score the match winner

Living interstate these days, I haven’t managed to get in more of a routine set than that. Will be watching the game at the local SLSC.

Pretty much the same here. It’s 25 in Hobart in October ffs. Can’t waste it.

Was thinking about a BBQ but way to hot to be outdoors today, so will be sitting inside in the air conditioning watching the game with home made pizzas and either beer wine or cocktails or all three lol.
I worked today and thought it would have been busy but apart from a few 4 and 6 packs of beer sales were really flat and the centre itself was the quietest i have seen it in a long while.

Wish it was 25 c here, its 37 c and an uncomfortable wind but at least it is a dry heat and not humid.

Have a selection of Bent straight forward beer, Hawkes Lager, Asahi, Sapparo or Smithy's Dry lager to choose from ( all freebies from work ) but have a sneaky suspicion i might make a couple of lychee martinis to kick the night off.

Doing the hosting again this year. Everything is prepped and ready to go.
A few kgs of Tiger Prawns with various dipping sauces
Mussels steamed in white wine served with a tomato, caper and olive salsa
Calamari ready to go for a quick spin in a wok with some lime & ginger
2 Big flattys with a lemon & dill butter
Plus the salads, cheese platter etc
Washed down with a few JD's

But this year my Daughter and I are going there. Almost at Olympic Park now.

I watch the 1989 grand final every grand final day. Going to pick my mates up to go to a mates place to watch the game with good company

0700 - usual 42km run
0800 - make love to the missus
0801 - shower
0830 - crack open the first beer
0900 - off to the bottle o for a few supplies
0930 - 1200 engage in rigourous debate with neighbour about the poetry of Yeats in the context of the 2023 rugby league season
1200 - 1500 - nap
1500 - set the vcr to record the pre show
1600 - mad rush to bunnings because the bbqs gas bottle is empty
1700 - order kfc instead
1730 - sit down, ready for Gus' final word
1930 - all ready for kick off!
1945 - all ready for kick off!
2000 - still waiting for f**king kick off
2200 - tipping the raiders to win next year.
