Not really expecting us to win the comp or make the gf but I am quietly confident of a finals berth. The Tigers should provide a capable defence of their title and can win back to back if they rediscover the right kind of form at the end of the season.

It doesnt seem as far fetched as you have made out.
The knights with Joey firing can do anything while the Canterbury club hopefully wont have the same horror injury toll they had this year.

1/ eels (same as last year only smithy will do a lot better)

2/ dragons (same as eels especially if head stays fit, and the turmoil does not effect them on the feild)

3/ knights (if johns stays fit)

4/ eagles (signed orford now they have a great halves combo)

5/ broncos (every time we say theyll struggle they prove us wrong but i think they make struggle to make the 8, im just not prepared to take that chance)

6/ tigers (should make to 4 depends how teams around them go, pat richards is a humongus loss as is there former captain)

7/ cowboys (paul rauhihi will be a big loss)

8/ roosters (all depends how anasta and finch combo goes, other wise theyll struggle)

9/ sharks (may do better depends if vagana plays 5/8)

10/ rabbits (wll do alot better have a good halves combo going and some good signings, plus alot of yongsters coming thru which will more than make up for there losses)

11/ dogs (no anasta means no strong halves combo.)

12/ storm (no orford will struggle big time)

13/ panthers (lost all there power up front, and most of there backs)

14/ warriors (they struggled last year without stacey theyll do even worse)

15/ raiders (depends if smith stays fit)

Why don't you tell us how many games Johns is playing next year then. He's had one knee reconstruction this year and can't play with the Kangaroos because of his knee. If Johns can't play a majority of games they won't make the finals.
