I can just see you two dopieos at the dawn of the motor vehicle shaking your heads & saying, "We already have the horse & cart, which gets up from A to B faster than walking. If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The fact that winning, regardless of circumstance, is purely in itself enough to distract you from NSW's flaws is head-shakingly disappointing.

lol you never fail to miss the point

Hayne and Furguson were excellent on Wed night. There is abolutely no need to replce either of them if fit, especially for a nuffburger like Merritt

There needs to be reasons to drop players especially after a win. Merritt is not exactly so good at club level he demands selection and fergo and hayne both played strong in origin one. Fergo was probably the form centre in the comp coming up to origin 1 and he didn't move morris or Jennings because there was no reason to drop them

Just as there needs to be a reason to select them.

The idea that Ferguson's stop-start career can produce a hot month of football leading into Origin & that it genuinely eclipses Merritt's years upon years of great form isn't even funny --- its f**king sad.

Merritt should have been picked years ago. Our whole plan for years was "pass it to Merritt" and when we did that he would find a way to score a try.

I think he would have been picked last year if he didn't get injured in his MOTM performance for the Indigenous All Stars.

Now it might be too late. Especially when NSW is filled with nuffies who share opinions like Pete Cash here who value the ability to put a fend on higher than the ability to score a try from anywhere

Ferguson can also score a try from anywhere. He's simply the better player I'm not sure why you are arguing otherwise. I posted a video of some of fergos best moments and there are a number of long range tries there.

The facts are their try scoring records aren't that different and fergo is not just about tries. He's better deal with it

All I know is if Merritt made Origin, and he dropped the ball on his first touch and conceded NSW's only try by literally shitting himself and tripping over in front of GI - you guys would have eaten him alive.

Mistakes happen its part of the game. he dropped a ball trying to get too quick a play the ball. He recovered to make 100m and defuse every bomb Queensland put up. He was "safe" which I'm sure was a reason you gave for Merritt being selected.

No one would have stopped that try you idiot.

At the end of the day you guys are just making fergo more popular with nsw supporters at this forum. He needs the pr so well done morons lol

FFS can these souffs fans give this "selekt merret" idea a break!

Ferguson had a very very solid debut, nothing spectacular but defused every bomb which came his way, apart from the knock on he really did nothing wrong. I could understand this stuff if Fergo had a shit game, but he played quite well, why change a winning formula? Same goes for the nuffs who are suggesting that other players (Tamou etc.) get dropped.

A more apt comparison would be that you are proposing replacing a late model Ferrari (Hayne) with a '79 Gemini with 350,000 Kms on the clock (Merritt).

As discussed previously Ferguson had to make a play at Inglis or Inglis would have strolled over. If you are going to blame anyone, Morris was the one who missed the tackle on GI that put Ferguson in a 2 on 1 situation a metre out from the line.

Did you even watch the game?

You would think it is an enjoyable thing being head & shoulders above a lot of people intellectually, but as any great man in history (Newton, Einstein, Darwin) will tell you, its anything but.

Imbeciles always have the numbers, hence Twain's famous quote.
