CHN is having a shoulder op. Dropping all those passes is bad for you.

DWZ, Whare, JFH NZ
RCG, Kikau Fiji
Mansour Lebanon
Katoa Tonga
Wallace Scotland
Leota Samoa

May, Merrin, Blake and CHN would of played if fit

Good news is Edwards/Moylan and Cleary should get a full off season together to get shit sorted

Is Wallace realy playing for Scotland?
I would have thought with all the injuries he picked up back end of the year he would have needed a few minor ops or at the very least a long period of rest.

Good news is Edwards/Moylan and Cleary should get a full off season together to get shit sorted

That is what I really want. A pre season of those 3 working on their combos.

He was named in Scotland training squad I guess we will find out when they name their team.

It is what we need. We can argue about the lack of coaching we get but time is what they need regardless

Forgot about CHN shoulder.

Agree on a full off season together. If it happens.

I read today that Mansour was expected to drop out of the Lebanese side.

Yeah I saw that in the Moylan article.

Josh Mansour was the other Panthers player under consideration but Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has only put him on standby for Darius Boyd, who has to pass a medical test on his injured hamstring on Thursday to play in the tournament.

If he gets selected for Australia I hope they keep that knob Dugan away from him on the training paddock.

This is how I think it should go

1. DYLAN EDWARDS
2. JOSHUA MANSOUR
3. DEAN WHARE
4. WAQA BLAKE
5. DALLIN WATENE ZELEZNIAK
6. MATHEW MOYLAN
7. NATHAN CLEARY
8. REAGAN CAMPBELL GILLARD
9. MITCH REIN
10. JAMES TAMOU
11. ISAAH YEO
12. TRENT MERRIN
13. BRYCE CARTWRIGHT

14. SAM MCKENDRY
15. TYRONE PEACHEY
16. LEILANI LATU
17. JAMES FISHER HARRIS/COREY HARAWEIRA NAERA
Agree with the exception that McKendry is doing whatever he is doing besides playing football, and JFH has turned into a powder-puff...may have been injured this year, but is a player who needs to turn it around.

No one should be guaranteed selection for 2018. Kikau, Jed Cartwright, Moses Leota, Kaide Ellis and a host of others should be under consideration for top grade selection next season based on form and form alone. While we may not have the same depth in our outside backs we have no shortage of forwards waiting for there opportunity to play in our NRL side.

Absolutely. The positions should be filled by those that deserve it.

JFH had one ripper of a game against the Sharks scoring a double. But has been quiet average a part from that.

Some above average games thrown in here and there. But having seen what he could do against Sharks he has disappointed IMO.

I like him and hope it was just niggling injuries holding him back. But i dont think he deserves to be auto picked like he was in 2017. Not with the taslent we have fighting for spots.

I think Latu, Leota, and May will see plenty of time through injury etc, but I just can't see them being regulars.

He seems to have an issue with ball security which could mean he is not confident in getting hit hard.

Whatever it is,other players have noticed it,and are going in for the kill.Once he gets over his injuries,he can be a damaging player.

Kikau is an absolute must for the bench.
Wallace looked finished this year. Time to blood Egan from the bench imo

Wallace looks finished, time to blood Egan off bench but that leaves hooker open. You don't rate Rein citing poor service and passing. So who's your number nine? Katoa?

I think Rein has improved out of sight. I was well aware of his slow service, poor decision making and poor passing (Guy couldnt pass left!) but he was the best Hooker across two state competitions and has shown he can be a quality hooker for us in the games he played.

I am sure plenty of Dragons fans want to heap shit on him but so far as his time with us he's been really good.

That and general discipline. The high shots, being caught offside etc.

Back to basics and he'll come good. Low on confidence IMO.

It's a real weakness. Maybe play both Rein and Wallace for equal time during the trials and go with whoever performs best.
Katoa isn't a bench option if Peach or May is on the bench imo because he can't play backrow at a first grade level

Lets assume May is out for at least the first 5-10 rounds.

Having Rein start and Katoa on the bench is a smart choice but ultimately it spells the end of Peach.

Square peg, round hole.
