Not that I should have to justify what posts I like, however, the part I agreed with was I don't believe DWZ has developed to the extent that a lot of us thought he would.

I'll leave comments about coaches and keyboard warriors for comment (or likes) to those more experienced than me.

Happy to continue the discussion.

You don't. I have to remind myself not to get caught in the cat fight type behavior on here.

This is such an idiotic statement, jeez you are clueless. You literally just talk out of your ass and hope no one calls you on it.

Dallin hasn't improved since he debuted, one of your best you clown.

He had shit hands when he came into grade and he still has shit hands now. Not that long of a bow to draw.

That is the sort of stuff right there. He is a test player and 4 season experience player. Things like Johnston scoring 5 tries shouldn't happen against such players

He is close to the best winger in the comp for half the season. The rest is average to terrible. Yeo is the same but never has a bad game just quiet but has moments when he shows much more. Bryce and Blake are the same but they have moved around a bit so that might be something to do with it.

Hopefully having a settled spine improves the squad all around

Why is everyone feeding Tamou in their starting side? I mean don't get me wrong he clearly impressed me this season by proving to be the biggest dud by of year. He is a bench warmer in our current squad. I don't care what we are paying him. Give the starting spot to someone hungry.

In my opinion Latu offers much more with a good offseason. He was just coming good before his broken jaw. Clearly carrying extra weight and wasn't fit in the early rounds.

JFH and Wallace need to find something in the offseason to be any chance of keeping their spots.

I think the final bench spot is really up for grabs. I know alot on here dislike Browne but he did his job for us - he is a safe bet, you know what you are going to get from him. Kikau could be great but FMD he needs to hold the ball. He is asking for it to be knocked out the way he carries it. Leota made the most of his limited chances in FG this year and Fish was given the benefit of the doubt during the back end of the season.

Assuming CHN is fit for Round 1.

1- Edwards
2- Mansour
3- Blake
4- Whare
5- DWZ
6- Moylan
7- Cleary
8- Merrin
9- Katoa
10- Latu/RCG
11- Yeo
12- CHN
13- Cartwright

14- Peachey
15- RCG/Latu
16- Tamou
17- Browne/Kikau/Leota/JFH

One point re DWZ is that he's one of the few players we have with aggression. We have a lot of nice guys in our team. Dallin's one of the few who'll consistently give it to the opposition if they acting like merkins. You need a few players like that.

Says more about our powder puff forwards than anything really

What impact would you get from Tamou off the bench though? Better him start and leave the bench for hard runners

Yes, some stability would be nice so we can get a few of these younger guys established in specific roles. DWZ can have the odd shocker from, I think, trying to be so physical that he switches off the mental. Loses his attention to detail.

I wouldn't change a thing about Yeo though. Does the 1 percenters every week as well as apparently making life easier for those around him. You need a few blokes like this in your team where you know his quiet games get the job done and then can have the odd blinder.

My round 1 team has Tamou on the bench. I know RCG really added some impact from the bench but I still think you start with your best props - meaning RCG ahead of Tamou.
If nothing else it may give Tamou an incentive to prove he should start.

The logic is sound but I couldn't see the club doing it. They rate him too highly.

Do you think Katoa is ready for 80mins of NRL footy? Or would you have Peach playing some time at 9?

Mckendry, Wallace and Rein with no Katoa who did well when playing 9 seems odd to me.

I think MCKENDRY if injury free will really rip in. Has always been a good defender, give him a shot to see if he can still keep up.
WALLACE deserves first crack, he is a trooper.
I rate REIN quite high so he gets a spot over katoa for now.
When REIN comes on WALLACE can move to lock or bench etc.

That's fair. How does Wallace deserve his spot when he was demonstrably slower than Katoa in the Brisbane final (we actually got a chance to compare and Wallace was much worse)

If Yeo didn't play we would miss him that is for sure. I'd be trying to work out why he didn't have more games like he did v Bulldogs the 1st time rather then worrying about the quiet games
