Can't believe we haven't started one of these threads yet (probably because we have no idea who will be here and who won't).
Assuming Robbie, Ava and Halutau stay:

1. Tedesco
2. Nofo
3. Naiqama
4. Simona
5. Hunt
6. Moses
7. Brooks
8. Woods
9. Farah (80 mins playing his natural game)
10. Sue
11. Lawrence
12. Halutau
13. Sironen (would love to see the return of the ball playing lock)

14. Taupau (not a demotion..with the interchange rules changing, impact off the bench is vital)
15. Ava
16. Lodge (let's pray he has learnt his lesson)
17. Lovett/Santi/Lioleve (whoever shows the most improvement in off season)

I know what you are all thinking, "where the hell is Cherrington??". While I rate the kid, I don't know if he is 100% ready for FG. Having an 80 minute hooker will give us a HUGE advantage.

Thoughts?

Based on a few assumptions as to who'll be here next year I'd go;

1. Tedesco (speaks for itself)
2. Nofo (continues to improve)
3. Naiqama (continues to improve)
4. Simona (best option)
5. Fine (he is big and I think he'd go OK on the wing)
6. Moses (starting to show his talent)
7. Brooks (have to continue with him)
8. Woods (speaks for himself)
9. Farah (speaks for himself)
10. Ava (form warrants it)
11. Lawrence (showing his potential)
12. Sironen (full offseason on the weights please Curtis)
13. Sue (playing as third prop)

14. Taupau (seems to offer more off the bench imo)
15. Grant (assuming he comes here)
16. Lodge (I just hope he reaches his potential)
17. Halatua (Mr fix it for the team)

I think there is a blend of speed and size in that team. Truth is it isn't that different from this year and look where we ended up!!!

Based on that the big change may need to come in the choice of coach....

That team should see Wests Tigers earn 11th spot in 2016.

Probably....

I just hope a new coaching style improves our standing. You saw when we played you guys in the last round we can score points. We only had possession for 15 minutes in that game and were able to score 24 points. Scoring until the arrival of Taylor had never been a problem....it has been our defence. Taylor was employed to toughen our defence. What a joke. If he can just get the balance right we will be OK I think.

The Farah Taylor thing is going to come to a head. Farah and his manager say he ain't goin' nowhere and Taylor will play Farah in NSW Cup if he stays. I think there will be a compromise, farah to alter his playing style? Yes...no?

Farah altered his playing style for Taylor and his formed dropped terribly.

He then played his natural game against the Warrirors and killed it

Taylor has an amazing weapon in his team. Use it properly

The coach is a worry isn't he. We under performed this year and coaching/game plans were a key concern.

I like this team. I think though Joshua Addo Carr may get a wing spot over Hunt at some point and Chee-Kam might slot into the number 17 spot along with Cherrington.

Assuming we get a decent run with injuries I think its not a bad team.

Fan of both those teams. Chee-Kam needs to be in the 17 somewhere though.

Wing spot should be hotly contested, liked the look of that u20s Sharks fella we signed. Has a lot of pace which is what we need, but I'd be cool with Hunt too

I think Hoeter will get first crack at the vacant wing spot. His terrible center play has made people forget in his debut on the wing v the dogs he was very good. Safe under the high ball and strong Dummy half runs. Played all his juniors at fullback and wing, was thrown into center because we had no one else. Noffo was also terrible at center but that doesn't mean he isn't a strong winger.

Also I'd move nofo to left wing. That's where we send most of our attack and he is the best finisher at the club. Teddy and Simona will set him for lots, he'll finish a lot more chances than Richards did this year.

The big question is will Farah be there. I think we are a better team with him there however if we are being honest he isn't worth what we are paying him.

A few peole have mentioned Chee-Kam. I haven't seen much of him yet a few guys I work with really rate him, especially one who had a bit to do with him at Canberra. He is apparently fast for a big guy.

Is he a good chance of getting into the team? I'd really be interested in the thoughts of others about him.

Gee. We are rabble.

Naiqama, Chee Kam, Sironen and Halatau would struggle to make any other NRL side.

Halatau doesn't offer enough to be a starting back rower, or as a bench impact player. He's also redundant as a back up hooker thanks to Cherrington. I don't see a spot in the side for him anymore, despite his good efforts this year and service.

1. Tedesco
2. Nofoaluma
3. Fine
4. Simona
5. Hoeter
6. Moses
7. Brooks
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Seumanufagai
11. Lawrence
12. Sironen
13. Taupau

14. Sue
15. Lodge
16. Lovett/Santi/Halatau
17. Cherrington

Make a compromise with Farah. Take the captaincy off him but let him play his natural game. When Cherrington comes on, move Farah essentially to lock.

Woods as captain. Lawrence his deputy. Tedesco after that.

Cherrington has to be on the interchange and get increasing game time as the year progresses switching with Farah. Can he also do backrow at a pinch to increase his versatility off the bench?

We really are missing a few players with experience to mentor the younguns and calm in times of stress. I'd like someone in the backline to be a bit more experienced to led the backs.

Long standing WT weakness- winning the tight games- still cant see that being addressed, too many kids, not enough old heads to play percentage football, play for the mistake and then take advantage.

Sack Taylor, hire Toovey. Let him pick the team. We'll have a good culture and start winning.

Doubt it will happen unless he feels he has been blindsided by the Board and new CEO over Farah. If he is not performing I doubt a trigger will occur before halfway through season. Maybe Toovey is still available then, if so grab him with open arms. If not what then?
