the knights dont do anything for me either on paper

Xwizit, I haven't seen your boys for next year yet.... Where are you going to slot Amos and Brett Firman? Who's going to be captain in the absence of Freddy? I'm thinking Ricketson, but I could be wrong.

Firstly Earl

I think Slater will revert to centre, Turner to fullback and King remains on the wing.

To Cowboys fans, don't forget the Burliegh halfback signed by the club, in the trials he will claim the number 7 as his own. This kid can play and find the try line, leading try scorer or close to it in the QLD cup this year. His name eludes me though :?

My Broncos team

1 - Hunt
2 - Topou
3 - Tate
4 - Berrigan
5 - Hodges
6 - Lockyer
7 - Seymour
8 - Webcke
9 - Beriigan
10 - Petero
11 - Thorn
12 - Parker
13 - Carroll

14 - Costigan
15 - McGuire
16 - Stagg
17 - Carlaw

to Storm fans: i think Kiwiw is wrong. Slater deserves to stay at fullback, and King would fulfil his potential better at centre, not winger. i think in 2004 he was forced to wing because of Steven Bell and Ben MacDougall, remember he was playing centre all year, and got picked there for country, while MacDougall and bell were injured.

Cowboys: Chris Sheppard is an awesome halfback. I don't know how much McConnell was carving it up in Qld cup, but by all accounts Sheppard was doing the same. not only that, but he was playing great in firsts too before he got injured. unlike McConnell, he's proven himself in firsts, so he'll deservedly get first dibs on the number 7 jersey.

I like the look of Fien at 6, but will Kemp give him more than one game there??

Well, he perservered with Tony Martin at centre, so if its logical, probably not

In my opinion, they need a second option kicker, too often this year teams rushed up on Stacey Jones because no one else was really standing up with the vision to be an effective corner kicker - I think the guy he had playing outside him at #6 for the latter part of the season, Jerome Ropati is an absolute sensation waiting to happen but I think he's just as effective at #3, he didn't show enough of a kicking game for mine just great footwork and ballwork. Fein impressed me greatly with his distance kicking game this season.

Being a bulldogs supporter this is how i think the 17 will be

1. L.Patten
2. H. El Masri
3. J. Lolesi
4. W. Tonga
5. M. Utai
6. B. Anasta
7. B. Sherwin
8. M. O'meley
9. A. Perry
10. R. Asotasi
11. W. Mason
12. A. Ryan
13. T. Grimaldi

14. R. Maitua
15. SB. Williams
16. C. Hughes
17. C. Armit/T. Thurling

That line up would be the most logical i think at the present time with Andrew Ryan to be the captain, along with grimaldi to be vice captain (may be a long shot but he did captain Hull in ESL).
Then again the forward pack could also see changes as well which will depend on the improvements asotasi is able to make during the off season by improving his fitness to last longer on the paddock otherwise folkesy might change the forward pack to:

8. O'Meley
9. Perry
10. Mason
11. Williams
12. Ryan
13. Grimaldi

Which would see asotasi move back to the bench and be used as an impact player as he does so well in season 04.

But P_04, you see mate, the problem is that Williams is THE greatest impact player off the bench, we need him in that #17 jersey week-in week-out

i would reunite cross and minichiello and have isiola and moke on the other side - isiola (first name) has been impressive all year but couldn't be used as the Roosters had reached the limit for using second tier players or whatever it was - Ricky wanted to test him out towards the end of year to see how he would handle first grade with the possibility of using him in the finals.
