A prop short (maybe 2, I'm not the biggest fan of Cannings),

but christ that's a good side everywhere else...

But they had both players last year and it wasnt the year of the Dog. I fail to see your logic.

Quite simple, Gordon was their utility last year, playing every where from the wing to prop.......reality is that Gordon is now an out an out forward, despite of where he's played most of his footy.

Last year, Greg Eastwood was the power forward providing impact off the bench when they replaced Hannant. This year, Gordon can be that (a role he's more suited to) and halatau can be the stop gap solution......

that's simply my take on the dogs......I think they're a more balanced side this coming year, even without El Masri and Eastwood.

The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans’ playing stocks have received a further boost with former New Zealand international Clinton Toopi commencing training with the club on a trial basis.


The strike centre, who played in a grand final with the New Zealand Warriors in 2002 and has represented the Kiwis in 14 Test matches, is expected to play for the Titans in the club’s three pre-season trials against Brisbane, North Queensland and Souths.


Based on his efforts during the pre-season, Titans coaching staff will then make a decision whether or not to offer the 29-year-old a permanent contract for the remainder of the 2010 season.


After enduring three injury-plagued seasons in the UK Super League and New Zealand rugby since leaving the Warriors in 2006, Toopi says he is excited to be given an opportunity to revive his NRL career.

Those in bold are the only ones who would get a position in another NRL team. The rest are rubbish, and a great example of the delusion that is rife in Newcastle.

Combine that with a rubbish coach, and it's nothin' but wood for the Knights in 2010.

Houston is a quality player, he'd get a run at most clubs. De Gois is good enough to get a run at some clubs too. The rest are write offs. Patterson has talent, but due to off field issues had a poor 09. Taia had a great year last year, and he's a former St Clair Comet, cant go wrong there

I give them 6 players that would be sought after on the open market, the rest would get journey man contracts. Simmo included, the old has been is as broken down as my old 86 Ford Laser
