Id have Clinton Toopi on my team on one condition.
Doc Brown sets the date for 2001, fuels up the delorian with food scraps and gets it up to 88mph.
Great Scott!

Parra Steve Fui's like the best prop on the planet surely he should start?

We chased Poore hard and i cant see us starting him off the bench, Cayless is our current captain, id doubt DA would want his captain to start the game on the bench.

In all likelyhood, the props will be roated game to game, one week fui will get a start then the next poore etc.

The same backline produced the most tries in the comp last year.
Forwards were the problem in 2009

No as a team last time I looked forwards scored tries for them in 09. Wing 6, Fa'alogo 5, Pettybourne 6 the list goes on.

Takeout Meritt's 18 and it was very close between backs and forwards tries

Michael Jennings and Michael Gordon would walk into almost any backline in the NRL. Maurice Blair, Brad Tighe, Shane Elford and Adrian Purtell aren't great players by any stretch of the imagination, but they fill in the remaining spots to leave a solid backline. Certainly better then a few others atleast. Our issue is the halves, not the backs.

TBH only Jennings would walk straight into a backline for another club.

He's the only known try scorer in the team.

Gordon would if the club lacked a decent goal kicker.

The rest are pretty average or very young and raw.

Then you add the halves and they aren't the best either.

Mate they have Super Simmo the pea hearted panther - wash your mouth out.

The fact no panther fan has picked is irrelevent as Super Coach will.

And he can beat a team on his own.

It's just a pity that the team he can beat on his own is the one he is playing for. :x

If he's anywhere near our first grade side it had better be because all other options are injured. We already have Brad Tighe who is capable of butchering a certain try. Don't need Simmo trying to out do him.

As mentioned earlier, Stagg isn't a certain starter. Article today on NRL.com almost mentions Chris Armit might not play the first week or two.

I will be disappointed if Mickey Paea doesnt get a run!!!

I"d be getting rid of gordo/dene/ gaz for him or even hickey if he hasnt lost weight

The worst backline (1-5) would have to be Cronulla easily with the Cowboys and Panthers not too far behind.

Gordon would not walk into every side's 17 either.

I dont think Tongue is our best option at hooker but thats where DF will use him for at least the 1st 20min. Waddell will hopefully develop into an 80min player as the season unfolds.
I too like Monas on the wing.

13.Miller ( he has to be in the team , a must )
12.TLL
11.Harrison
10.Tilse
9.Tongue
8.Shilington

14.J Thompson
15.Waddell

You forget our wonderful coach loves boring useless players ie Nathan Smith who despite having better options continues to play him. I think both Tards and Smith will play come round 1.
