You know darn well it will be all about the bears. Not a great way to start a club in a new city. If it was any advantage or worth then Perth and Christchurch would be fighting for the bears name. But neither are. That says a bit.
Actually nothing but whispers from Perth and they nearly always mention the Bears or Newtown when they do rear their heads, NZ2 is slowly coming along while David Moffatts’ community supported South Island Keas are just his salty opposition to them because they didn’t want him involved.

Do Perth mention them or the Sydney media?

Broncos were the most watched club in Australia when they finished last in 2020.

No one gives a f**k about the Eagles around the country. Not even in Perth when they're poor on the field.
Last year
broncos grand finalists 33.8k avg
eagles worse season in club history 42.2k avg

hmmm which club continues to underwhelm?

Do you believe the dumb biased shit you post?

If it comes down to what the broadcasters want then it won't be a matter of choosing between Melbourne and New Zealand or Perth and PNG. They've already told us they want Brisbane 3.

In what universe would a Perth-based team be ready to go within 2 years?

The only club that can field a team with such little notice is the Brisbane Tigers.

Seriously, if you were smart then you wouldn't have brought up what the broadcasters want and which club can field a team with just 2 years notice.
Brisbane 3 are not an option on The table for them,
so between the actual options: perth, nz2 and png which do you think Australian tv would prefer?

You’re starting to sound like that other chap from WA.
It was doom and gloom no matter what was said to him, he knew better, anyways.
The NRL may say they want the Bears in Christchurch, not sure why PR keeps mentioning Adelaide who aren’t even remotely in the expansion picture.
Because it’s the best fit for bears And the only chance Adelaide ever gets a club,

Broncos had to play matches at the Gabba. Their average at Lang Park was not far below 40k.

What will you do if the Broncos end up pulling bigger crowds than the Eagles?

Will you go have a cry?

I see you have nothing bad to say about the AwFuL drug scandal cover-up in the fumbleball thread.

You're a fumbleball ambassador.

No one from the ARLC has said Brisbane 3 is not an option. Nor has anyone from the ARLC said it is a race between Perth, PNG and NZ2. It hasn't stopped you from saying the same shit and pretending it is a fait accompli.

Stop pretending you speak for the ARLC. You don't know anything about the game and have a knack for being wrong.

When you stop telling bullshit people will no longer think you're a dumb wanker.

Cry me a river lol
brisbane3 Are highly unlikely to be club 18 or 19, and remote shot at club 20. Learn to live with it.

Yes but it’s rubbish talk because Adelaide isn’t even on the table for expansion talks plus it’s only your opinion as to the best fit.
You dont say! It’s a message board, all that is on here is peoples opinions lol

MY OPINION is the best use of the bears would be to have them based in Adelaide.
MY OPINION is nrl (and RL) would be abetter comp in a whole load of ways with Perth, Adelaide and Christchurch in it.
MY OPINION is the nrl doesnt need more teams in Brisbane or nsw at this time.

Which pays less than 8% of total tv money. Australian tv is where the big money is. So again who’s more valuable to Australian tv, melbourne or warriors? Who’d be more valuable to Australian tv perth or png?

going into 2028 tv negotiations I’d suggest perth would be more appealing to the buyers, png is fully funded or won’t happen so why not bring them in as 19th when tv contract is mid way and doesn’t need increase to fund them? Then by time 2033 tv deal runs around we are ready to bring in nz2 or Australia 18 to boost tv deal again.

not to mention can you honestly see a png club being built and ready to go in a 2year time period? If they aren’t announcing till end of 2024 and the club is coming in for 2027 that’s only 24 months to build it.

only driver for png as club 18 is the possible Ltd time window on the Albo largess, if he’s gone so is the deal in all likelihood.
Warriors

nz tv deal 34 million warriors grant 17 million means profit of 17 million plus free content for Aussie tv

plus extra tv money for internationals

so christchurch are the only option that has value to tv on their own

Perth and png is zero

Yep was announcement warriors and bulldogs entering nrlw.

he answered:

have no set timeline for it
Mentioned possibly 20 teams but no commitment to it

It’s still less than 8% of tv deal. I have no doubt if skynz are offering $20mill plus for a nz2 they will be in. It’s just highly unlikely they will.
