One thing is for sure - it's suicide going in without a specialist. If we do that, we may as well go in with three quicks + Watson as the bowling attack, because we're going to need a shirtload of runs to try and wear down the Indians.

A five prong pace attack in India results in a 4-0 Indian Victory.

My side, assuming that Krezja is not an option, is this:

Get rid of Jaques, Katich up the top, which looks more than likely. I'd rather Siddle over Bollinger in Indian conditions as he can reverse it more than Bollinger.

We still need to bowl the side out and Watson as the 4th bowler doesn't give any confidence to me. I'll admit Johnson looked alright in the tour match, he was much quicker than Lee and took 4 wickets who weren't tailenders.

TBH probably not without a good spinner, going all out pace on these wickets is going to mean tough work. Although we did do it without much help from Warne but when you have pacemen like McGrath, Gillespie and Kasper bowling it helps alot.

Surprisingly White was close to Aus A's best bowler in the recent 'A' series with India and NZ in India.

Both White and Krejza aren't much with the ball, but I'd go with White for all-round ability.

Shows you the state of our spinners. TBH though they had no choice, all the other spinners weren't up to it. This way if Watson fails we can bring in a spinner with decent enough batting.
