Ups and downs of business FY '22

Cash Converters (ASX: CCV) has announced what managing director Sam Budiselik describes as a “watershed year” for the 12 months ending June (FY2022), with revenue rising 22% to $245.9 million.

Earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was up 6% in FY2022 to $52.7 million, while operating net profit after tax increased 26% to $19 million.

From June 2022 and I posted from March 2024. Now who is the idiot who can’t read dates - scrounging hard to justify the existence of a bid you know nothing about. Never seen a person shoot them selves in the foot as much as you. What a talent you have.

First rule of business: don't work with unhinged f**kwits.

If R&BB is representative of the bears no wonder no one wants a bar of them.

Stick to collecting useless petitions pal.

Serious question for the W.A. brigade, where will their headquarters potentially be based ?.
Perth City ?, near HBF Park ?, Scarborough ?, the Pilbara ?.
What location would best suit a NRL league franchise ?.
Perth Reds idea of a training centre at WAIS/ McGillivray/UWA Sports Park (whatever the precinct is called?) ain't bad. The Western Force are already based there. The WA Govt was supposed to build WA Rugby a new training field too, after their original home at Perry Lakes was turned into housing. Instead the WA Govt played two birds one stone with the neighbouring WA Athletics Stadium.
An extension to facilities could see a WA NRL side cohabitate with the Force. Just like the Storm share with the Rebels and the AFL's Melbourne Demons. The Force have previously shared the facilities with the Perth Glory.

Alternatively I prefer a dedicated Rugby League HQ and Training facility at the South Perth Lions home base, George Burnett Park in Karawara, near Curtin University. There's enough room for an NRL facility and for South Perth to remain, and up to 3 fields. Maybe such a facility could team up with Curtin's sports science department?

George Burnett Park is slightly closer to the GPO and HBF park than UWA Sports Park. The neighbouring suburb of Como is the population centre of Perth.
The location has very easy access in close proximity to the Kwinana/Mitchell Fwy that runs the whole length of the long Perth Metro area. Its surrounded by the relatively affluent river suburbs of Manning, Salter Point, Como and very close to Mount Pleasant, Applecross, South Perth, Kensington. Desirable suburbs for Players, coaches and staff etc
*granted Perth Red's suggestion is also a very nice area of Perth.

Out of the two of us one wants the best for WA rugby league, the other wants the best for the Bears. One of us is open to either a stand alone or a partnership (whichever is best for rugby league in WA), the other can only see Bears or nothing. Hmm I wonder which of us is the real rugby league fan and which is myopic club fan who just wants to see his club back?
You're the pot calling the kettle black.

For years you've ridiculed rugby league in Brisbane and demanded it be held back so the ARLC can create and perpetually fund unwanted teams in backwater markets that don't give a f**k about the game. You hate Origin and want it scrapped because it doesn't involve Perth and Hull. I wouldn't classify you as an expansionist or a rugby league fan. You're a bitter old whinger who wants to tear down the game in its heartland out of jealousy.

lol, so much self driven bias guesswork. You have no idea what the business case of the Perth bid is.
Neither do you. It hasn't stopped you from claiming it will be successful and should get the 18th licence.

This lot doesn’t even know how setting up a company works or entails to even be able to get to the stage of recruiting people. You’re putting the cart in front of the horse but the issue here is the horse doesn’t even exist. Mind boggling how uneducated some are. Comical.

All the magic dust and pixie sprinkles from thin air won’t help here when there is no long term sustainability strategy to be seen which this lot thinks it comes out of cereal boxes. 0 assets to their name - this mob wouldn’t be financially positive for decades, if ever. There is no plans or vision outside we want a team- all secretive. Are they prospective rugby league club operators or are they ASIO? Hilarity ensures. Never met a mob who people claim hold all the cards when the game is being played with chess pieces. Righto!
Don't worry about mongoloid. He's as crazy as a cut snake.

I have a theory which might be a bit tin foil hat but I reckon the NRL (news) has or had a secret agreement with ARU to stay out of WA to give the Force and Australian Rugby "space".

Plenty of space around the new soccer complex too.

Ive literally said ups and downs, year by year. Now who cant read?
2022 was a good year for the company.
In 2023 the company had record loan sign ups, revenue up 23%, record revenue of $303mill, launch of new products, store revenue up 15%, investment in growth of digital platforms, $200mill assets.
$19mill profit '22, $20mil profit '23,

Go to cash convertors and buy a clue!

Not a bad spot. Is that park state owned or council owned?
The perry lakes area is state owned hence why theyve built basketball, RU, athletics and swimming centers there.

We’ve all read what the Perth fans have said on this thread

if we want the team to succeed then based on that the bears should have one hundred percent ownership

we don’t want a bid run by fruit loops

You still can’t read. You’re illiterate. How can a company have declines of above 8% a year for the last 5 years and you think they’re profitable.

Quick Inspector Morse go find another link!
