My thoughts too, always great to win but winning tough is even sweeter.I'm glad we're winning, but geez this has been a nothing series.
STUART BROAD — 2
0-142
12 and 0
He and new-ball partner James Anderson entered the history books as the most successful fast-bowling partnership in Test cricket overtaking Courtney Walsh and Curtley Ambrose, as the former took two quick wickets early on day four. Anderson finished with 4-116 — all four poles on day four. Broad on the other hand, finished with the 12th worst bowling figures in the history of Test cricket as he went for 0-142 from 35 overs. England needed Broad to fire and extract some bounce from the WACA wicket. He didn’t and England suffered as a result, as the tall right-arm quick dished up pie after pie.
They aren’t fit to do up Ambrose and Walsh’s bootlaces.A pity that Broad and Anderson have taken that mantle from Ambrose and Walsh.... when you look at the former pair based on a lot of what they have done on these shores, it seems incongruous that they would be above Ambrose and Walsh in any records or conversations.... I guess longevity is a kind of record on its own, but at least Ambrose and Walsh ALWAYS made you work... ALWAYS.....
Yes he is starting to look a bit grey on the edges.....Broad looks to be going the way of Gillespie in 05.
I thought maybe because he looks dizzy when he's got a bat in his hand....Yes he is starting to look a bit grey on the edges.....
Parra Pete would be proud of that one mateI thought maybe becuase he looks dizzy when he's got a bat in his hand....
Australia a hard place to tour?Root will be fine, too soon to be captain and with Cook offering little and no Stokes he's feeling it. And remember Australia is the hardest place to tour, without any doubt
