Sheens couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

At his time at Wests his game plan was "give the ball to Benji and make me look good"

and not hold Benji to account when he does anything wrong and let him and his mates run the place. Just what the Dragons need eh

If Bennett returned, just imagin the team the Dragons could field next year:

1. Boyd
2. Morris
3. Dugan
4. Beale
5. Nightingale
6. Widdop
7. Marshall
8. Cooper
9. Garvey
10. Kasiano
11. Sims
12. Frizell
13. Merrin

14. Stockwell
15. De Belin
16. Wicks
17. Creagh

With Bennett on board and only 4 new recruits, we are on our way to greatness once more.

This has to be the best backline in the competition and the forwards would more than hold their own against any pack.

I'm sure if Bennett did decide to return and if we let go the following players, we could make this happen:

Hunt - Replaced by Kasiano

Groat - Replaced by Wicks

Thompson - replaced by Sims

Ah Mou, Harrison, Witt, Stanley to pay for Boyd

Green - gone
Williams - gone

Talk about Saints V Panthers starts 4:25 in. Smith breaks down both sides and where they're at. Nails it for mine where he mentions we look like a club with no long term vision, that doesn't know what they need to do in order to be competitive once more. Love that he mentions our lack of go forward and how "blockbusting U20's props" don't grow on trees and that we NEED to start blooding those we do have now for long term pay off.
Clearly still has a good footy brain between the ears. Maybe the man we need for a rebuild?

Love him or hate him this guy knows his league inside out, he is a genius coach maybe just a personality that rubs the wrong way sometimes in the long term. He was at the Eels nearly a decade though and to this day 2001 Eels was as dominant a team as I have ever seen- bar the GF loss.

agree he took us to two GFs that by all rights we should probably never been in and gave us joy (and heartache) in 92 93

"93" we were a big chance, but Jason Stevens broke his thumb in the first two minutes, for me it was game over right there. We had the forwards to win it and a young Stevens was a terrific player.

I like the line up but there is no way in hell even the Master Coach could assemble that list for next year. Just not going to happen. I imagine as well, with the rumour that Sims is now favored to go to the Knights, that he must have been told something about Bennett and what he is doing next year. If he signs with the Knights, you can almost guarantee Bennett is going nowhere.

Well you could be right. Millward now seems to be in the mix as he has been added to the Dragon's NRL coaching staff.

So if Bennett does not return, I think it will be Sheens or Daley and out of the two I would prefer Sheens.

If Bennett does not take the reins, then my preferred option would be Shaun Wane no matter how unlikely. Out coaches currently in Australia, Jason Taylor backed up by someone like Matt Parish as assistant.

I have to say that I'm a little surprised at how many votes Henry is getting nearly 40% opposed to Bennetts 44%. I wouldn't complain if it was Henry but my choice after Bennett would be Brian Smith.

Wayne has suffered enough in Newcastle.
Bring him back I say.
and... quickly FFS.
