he probably didn't know
seriously .
He was probably oblivious to it all.. like everyone.

He knew. The Dr blew the whistle pretty early on and the one I really feel for.

Flanno was up to his eyeballs in it and should have been punted straight away imo.

I wouldn't be too sure the doc didn't know also. he may not have known what was being administered (which is a hell of a thing to say btw) but im not certain he's all that innocent.

It maybe only Thursday but ASADA still have put up nothing, this is the greatest hand they got play the bluff and hope we will fold.

Because once we find out the cost this has been to the tax payer $$$$$$$$ for nothing, and it will be 10's of millions

Found this quote from Kevin Andrew, federal minister in 2004 when ASADA was established: "
The establishment of ASADA will mean that sports, athletes and the public can have complete confidence that doping allegations will be investigated and pursued in an independent, robust and transparent way.”

Yeah rightyo....

And this definition from Section 71 ASADA Act:
"By virtue of Australian law NAD (National Anti-Doping Scheme Personal Information) Scheme Personal Information is confidential information and its unauthorised disclosure is a criminal offence that carries a penalty of two years imprisonment.[7] Australian law requires that anti doping information or opinion, whether true or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from that information or opinion, is legally confidential information. What is clear is that the statutory regime established by the Commonwealth Government is a regime whereby anti-doping cases are investigated, prosecuted and heard in private. Neither ASADA nor third parties to whom disclosure is authorised by the ASADA Act prior to that individual being found to have committed a violation, after a hearing or by their own ‘guilty plea’, can publicly divulge NAD Scheme Personal Information."

Will Bourbon Bec get 2 years of carpet munching in Silverwater???

How do you get someone who unwittingly took a banned substance to admit to taking a banned substance??

Another Question. Are ASADA required to hand over ''said" evidence to their lawyers like they would in a normal court case?

That's what I reckon.. Wouldn't ASADA have to hand over some sort of brief of evidence to the lawyers of the players?

It's the opposite to them saying they 'didn't' take it.

If nobody says that everybody can move on.

So ASADA believe.

That is what they have to show after 18 months.

The players have a big decision to make they can either accept it and move on or fight which will drag on for years, I think they will accept the 4 week ban, We have till 09:00 am tomorrow to find out....

It is a tough one for the players and I won't bag them regardless of what they choose to do.

My initial reaction is to tell asada to get fugged, it's too risky to leave wada out there not knowing what they may do. But this offer from asada reeks of coercion. If wada did come in wielding the big stick then I'd think there's a fair chance the 'admission' wouldn't stand up if challenged. Anyway....another one for the lawyers I spose. They'd be loving life.

Thought the same Eion but then I heard the Parrot ( a few pages back). They'd be nuts not to hold out in my view. I'm anything but an AJ fan but what he and the bloke he interviewed has said seems spot on the money.

My mail is Gall and Toops probably won't play against Canberra regardless of whether they take the 'offer'.
